People think it is simple, and some who are on the meds don't take their diet as seriously as they should. Those are the ones who are going to have a wake up call when their weight loss slows and they lose too much muscle. I have been doing a LOT of research on this as I am likely starting a medication later this year…

2 small waffles topped with vanilla greek yogurt mixed with some maple syrup, a sliced up banana, and 2 sliced up strawberries. Was pretty filling!

That is awesome Nic! Fingers crossed it works out and will be a good option. So I did a lot of research on GLP1s and diet yesterday. Like, I am hyper focused lol. It's bad because I can't switch that focus to work when I have so much to do. Anyway, it looks like Protein, hydration, and Fiber are the biggest things for…

I made a sweet and sour sheet pan meal last night that was amazing. It has chicken breast, turkey kielbasa, bell peppers, onions, and pineapple. That all roasted in the oven until the chicken was cooked and the veggies were a bit softened. Then you pour over the sweet and sour sauce. Serve with some rice and it was so good.

To stay hydrated. I don't drink nearly enough water. Right now I am at like 24 oz on the day which is not great. So that reminds me once I post this that I need to fill up the water cup again!

Had my first visit with the NP who will be helping with my weight loss goals on the more physical side of things. I already see someone in the same practice for the mental health portion. So this will be more like the diet and exercise, metabolic issues, and the like. We did talk about GLP-1 medications. She has seen a lot…

I can not have just a pint of ice cream in my house. It seems to be the one thing that I can not simply measure out. So I always get like the mini ice cream sandwiches, cones, or bars. That way the craving is met but I only eat the single item. Works great for me. Had a chocolate dip mini vanilla cone last night in fact.…

I have 65 cookbooks, multiple pages of magazines where I tore out the recipes, thousands of recipes saved on Pinterest, and a bunch saved on TikTok and YouTube. So trying to decide what to eat any given week is just tough. I am not doing a meal service next week and I am struggling to make choices. But I have decided that…

I love the Greek Amylu burgers. I put them on a bun with lettuce, tomato, and tzatziki. As for the hair cut, it did not happen last night. They called and asked to reschedule. So I am going tonight instead. Just getting a long pixie cut. I hate having hair on the back of my neck in the summer. Drives me crazy! So since I…

The last 2 nights were a BLT salad. Tonight will likely just be a frozen meal as I have a hair cut scheduled for after work.

I was supposed to have bagels with cream cheese this week for breakfast, but that just does not sound good. Thinking I may take a break at work, go back to the store, and get some breakfast sandwiches or something for the week. Just not feeling well. I was sick for a couple weeks and my fatigue levels have not improved. I…

I did do Hello Fresh for this week and so far I am liking it. Really nice to just have it all arrive at the door, pre measured, and in some cases prepped. Though the biggest reason I am doing it is because of general burn out due to work which is impacting my drive to do normal everyday chores. Like meal planning. I call…

I am supposed to have a bagel with cream cheese, but I am craving some eggs so may scramble 2 up with it.

The potato I had was huge. With the protein and the salad, there was no way I could eat the whole thing. I felt satisfied and happy with only half both nights. Plus, it was nice to not have to cook anything besides the salmon last night lol. Which I just seasoned and baked for like 13 minutes. Next week I am trying out…

I don't see GLP1 as being a "lazy" way of doing things. I do think it is over prescribed and that a lot of the people taking it are not setting themselves up for life long success. I am looking at possibly using it, but with the support of a medical team working with me. My weight is causing problems with my overall health…

Last night was a sirloin steak with half a baked potato and a side salad. Tonight will likely be salmon with the other half of the potato and a side salad. Then we have Gyudon with rice and stir fried veggies and we finish out the week with pulled pork sandwiches, roasted potatoes, and a side salad.

My plan for this week is: Tonight: Chicken reuben with sauteed fresh green beans (this may change because I forgot I had a hair cut after work) Tomorrow/Wednesday: Teriyaki chicken, rice, and stir fried veggies Thursday/Friday: Mexican turkey burgers and roasted potatoes
-
Last night (and tonight) was a pork chop, stuffing, and green beans.

I was supposed to weight today but totally forgot this morning. No therapy this week as my doctor is out of the office. So just logging my food and taking notes to talk to her next week. I do think the therapy is helping. I binge a lot less often and have been able to stop myself more then once. Also have been able to…

Still enjoying my bowl of Quaker Oatmeal Squares (Honey Nut this week) with lactose free milk and a banana. It is simple and fast which works best for me in the mornings. I for sure notice a difference in my mood and energy levels when I do and do not eat. I also have noticed I am less likely to binge later on if I eat.

Pork Chops, stuffing, and green beans for tonight and tomorrow.

I am still doing my Quaker Oatmeal Squares with a banana and 2% lactose free milk. It's fast. It's easy. It's gentle on my stomach. I actually don't like eating breakfast, but my new doctors want to see if it will help with the binging in the evenings. So far I think it does. It also gives me a bit of energy for work and…

Still doing my Quaker Oatmeal Squares with a banana and 2% lactose free milk. I then take a walk and have a decaf chai tea latte, iced, with the same milk. I buy the concentrate at the grocery and get multiple lattes for the price of one at the cafe. Plus, it is hard to find decaf chai at a cafe.

Tonight and tomorrow will be BBQ chicken pizza with a side salad. Thursday and Friday will be air fryer chicken parmesan, spaghetti, and broccoli.
-
Nothing today (had a doctors appointment and decided a little extra sleep sounded better then food lol), but I have been doing cereal with milk and fruit.

My eye has finally healed and I can even wear my contacts again so that is exciting. I still have some issues with dry eye and irritation, but nothing like it was with the actual injury. I had my first appointment with preventive health this morning and I am so excited about what this could help me with. I feel a lot of my…

Tonight I am going to finish up the stuff I made this weekend for a snack plate. Then tomorrow I am making the Red Lentil Curry again with rice and naan. That will take me through the week. I would love to freeze some and I think I can fit some in the poor overloaded freezer, but not sure the best way to pack it up.
-
Just doing cereal (honey bunches of oats) with lactose free milk and a banana this week. This may be my breakfast for a few weeks as work is insane plus my eye injury (see Share Your Day post lol).

I have been doing an antibiotic drop (cause don't want an infection in the eye), a dry eye drop, and today we added an ointment to try and help. The ointment is nice, but can only be used a couple times a day. I get shocks of pain rarely, but the rest of the time it just feels dry, irritated, and like there is something in…

So last week I scratched my cornea somehow. No idea. It started hurting after I took out my contact one night. Thus I spent my holiday weekend not being able to wear my contacts, dealing with pain, and barely being able to look at the light. Had a follow up today and it just is not healing like we originally expected,…
