So my doctor wants me to keep a food log because I have been having some digestive issues. I had increased my fiber way too fast and had to cut back, but the problems have not resolved in like a month now. So we are trying to see if something else is causing me issues or not. If this doesn't work, then I need an ultrasound…

I have in the past. Right now I am just trying to get myself to actually EAT something and I have been craving english muffins (had a couple on the trip lol) so went with that. I am thinking I may add a hardboiled eggs to my breakfast next week. I have the calories as I am set to lose pretty slow.

Back from my trip and I am already missing all the delicious seafood and diner food that I had in Salem. It was all so tasty. But now back to reality. Thin sliced a pork chop so I could have 2 pork chops, sauteed green beans, and stuffing was my dinner last night and will be for tonight as well. Friday I am making some…

Trying to add breakfast back in as I have found that without it I end up craving fast food at lunch and then eating too much. However, I have never been one to be able to really want to eat early in the day. So today I had a cinnamon raisin english muffin with butter and 3 dates with peanut butter.

I think I overdid the walking… Been walking pretty much every day for the past week and a bit. I love it. Gets me out of the apartment (I work from home) and I get some fresh air. However I think I overdid it yesterday with my 2 40 minute walks. So today is a rest day… mostly. I had to walk to the store this morning for a…

Last couple of days dinner has been some queso fresco and jalapeno turkey burgers on a bun with sliced tomato and guacamole. On the side we had corn on the cob and baked beans. I likely should have skipped the corn as it isn't quite in season and tasted as such. Luckily the 2 ears were less then a $1 so no great loss.…

I added too many bunnies (aka high fiber foods) too fast. My digestive system has been angry. Need to cut down the bunnies and then SLOWLY start adding them in again.

If you like it, it works within your calories, and it helps you eat and enjoy your vegetables, then why do you need to change it?

Back from Con Weekend. Really feeling the exhaustion still. That is the fun of having chronic fatigue. The recovery takes as long as the fun! Today I am trying to get back on track. Breakfast: 3 dates with PB Lunch: Salad wraps Dinner: Greek falafel bowl And lots of water.

Back from convention weekend. For sure I ate a lot of junk. While it was all tasty, I am feeling it with bloating, gas, and just general digestive issues. So the rules are back in place… at least until my next trip in May. But that is to Salem MA so I hope to eat a LOT of seafood.

I am back from my Convention weekend insanity and I ate horribly. The Convention Center did not have great food options. I mean, the walking taco I had Sunday was pretty damn tasty, but not at ALL healthy. Much less the pizza and hot dog I had the other days. But I am no longer able to survive a full Con day with only…

I have been so off plan again, I think I am in a different country then the plan. This weekend I have a convention so won't be tracking. I have snacks to take with (PB crackers, a mix of almonds/cashews/dark chocolate, and some fruit snacks) but will get one meal at the convention center a day. They have a few different…

Greek yogurt is my go to. It's not too heavy in my stomach to cause me sleep issues, but it keeps me full well into the next day.

I logged on. Recently I have not been logging into MFP at all. No drive to do so. I have been dealing with health issues and just don't care. Too tired. Too much pain. So today I logged on just to read threads and maybe join in. No logging of food or anything. But the fact I am on is step one.

Farmers Market opens up this Saturday! Still super early in the season so selection will be limited (I am in Chicago), but I am excited. I always eat so much better when I go to the Farmers Market.

The only dried fruit I currently eat is 2 dates with PB in the morning. I would likely count them as they are an improvement to my diet. Today will be a high bunny day with a salad for lunch and burrito bowls for dinner. Will likely have fruit as a snack too this afternoon (I have raspberries, watermelon, honeydew, or…

Had McDonald's last night. Feel horrible this morning. Why do I keep doing this to myself? I know it makes me feel bad, yet I go on and order it anyway. So frustrating! Tonight I am making burrito bowls. Rice, pinto beans, chicken, bell peppers, onion, corn, salsa, guac, and sour cream. Depending on calories I may add a…

Here is the recipe I used @yakkystuff - It is amazing if you like Indian flavors.

Yesterday I had a pretty good day. Lunch was a wrap with bean salad, avocado, and feta. On the side I had a Korean sweet potato. Dinner was a red lentil dhal served over a combination of rice and cauliflower rice. I also had a mini naan with it. Snacks were a greek yogurt and some chips.

Thank you for the kind words and suggestion. I am proud to say I got up and actually cooked last night. Since I had healthy stuff for lunch meal prepped, I ended up with 2 very healthy and nourishing meals. And it felt GOOD to have healthy fresh food and I even enjoyed the cooking process. It is just a mix of so much that…

I made the best food already this week. Lunches are a wrap with bean salad, avocado, feta, and mixed greens. Then on the side is a bake Korean sweet potato. Dinner was a red lentil dhal with bell pepper and carrots. Served it over a mix of rice and cauliflower rice and a side of mini naan. Kinda high in fiber and my…

Happy birthday Laurie!!!! Do Lentils and Beans count as bunnies? If so I had all the bunnies yesterday. White beans, cucumber, avocado, mixed greens, lentils, bell pepper, carrots, cauliflower rice… That may be it? Maybe?

I am coming out of a mental health slump. It's slow going. It seems that sometimes my brain/body gets too overwhelmed and I just crash hard. When that happens I have no energy, cooking does not happen, and I eat whatever I can grab or order. Plus I don't want to do ANYTHING. So my activity is down as well. Hopefully I can…

Dinner is actually in the crockpot on time. Making beef stroganoff over egg noodles with steam broccoli on the side. I only had 1lb of meat, so I loaded up on the mushrooms. Super excited for it.

We survived a government shut down. So I still have all my work hours and pay. Which is good. But I think my brain and body shut down this past weekend in relief. Upside, I can now keep planning for a convention next month and a trip to Salem in May. I also upgraded our flight TO Boston in May for First Class. United…

All the numbers are just too much for me right now lol. Tonight I am making some grilled chicken breasts, stuffing, and sweet carrots. Simple and tasty. Later this week I am making a crockpot beef stroganoff with lots of mushrooms and a side of broccoli.

This weekend was rough. So, we survived a government shutdown so my hours and work are not impacted. Which is great. But I think my brain, body, and soul all just needed a break from, well, life. So I have not been eating great the last couple of days. Upside is I have been walking a LOT of late now that the weather is…

Back in my yogurt for dessert phase. I love the flavored Chobani yogurts right now. Yes, they have added sugar, but they are better then scarfing down a package of cookies or pint of ice cream. I just can't stand the taste of plain yogurt, especially Greek yogurt. Even doctored up I can't do it.

Went to the doctor yesterday for a general physical and blood work. Gotta make sure I am not going to die. Then last night I started to feel a bit sick, I maybe slept 3 hours, and I woke up this morning actually sick. So either I was already coming down with something or I caught something at the doctors. Seems fast to…
