For me, it depends on my exercise routine. I set myself up for 1700, because I usually lose best when I eat between 1650-1750 per day. Exercise creates my deficit. I'm in as long as nobody calls me a "senior" :D my head says I'm 30, just don't tell my battered 53 year old body it's not 30. I just recently went back to my trainer (only for the part where it forces me to go to the gym) to get back on track. Want to lose roughly 50-60..we shall see!

I feel much better if I go early, it's done/over, and I'm in a way better mood all day. Plus it keeps me more focused on my eating/steps!

I have a Bodymedia Fit.... I consistently burn about 500 cal per hour on the elliptical when I do higher intensity days. The machine of course will have me believe that I burned 680, and MFP tells me 800+. I of course rely on the armband to tell me the truth.
