Hello Everyone. I was diagnosed with Graves and lost a lot of weight very quickly. It scared me, but then for a while I just ate whatever I wanted. I'm now on meds and I want to eat a healthy, thyroid friendly diet, and maybe not gain the weight back. I've done MFP before and I need the accountability. Thanks!

I would love support you. I'm 42 and found myself getting too comfortable with my declining waist. I'm not ready to give up yet! MFP has helped me before, and I'm very good about logging in and being supportive.

The Zumba Gold is lower intensity meant for seniors, but Zumba is a great workout. You can burn over 500 calories in an hour. I like Ambitious Kitchen. Beautiful pictures. Not everything is super low fat, but blondies made with garbanzo beans instead of flour are yummy. Lots of great filling and non-traditional recipes for all (or no) diet types.

I agree, cereal is a killer! I stick with embellished oatmeal because I need to eat a BIG bowl of cereal to feel full for a while. Calories do hide in some crazy spots, and I don't like buying "light" foods. Fruits and veggies is where its at!

Fun thread, I'm in: 1. I skipped 4th grade, but then became a teacher and guess what grade I taught for several years.... 2. Hearing Big crowds cheer, like in stadiums, on TV makes me tear up. All that energy just chokes me up. 3. Going camping for my birthday is my favorite gift every year.
