Sorry to have been so absent! It has been a chaotic, crazy week. But at least weigh-in wasn't bad  Friday - 116.4 Hugs to everyone! I'll catch up one of these days...
-
Well, it looks like I'll need to be excused from this week's weigh-in. I cannot go home :grimace: - my husband has covid and I'm staying with my son until he gets better. We meet up outside, but I am avoiding the house where the scale lives. I thought he'd be negative by now, but it is slow!

@ashleycarole86 and @bowens1973 Welcome back! I hope your trip was fantabulous and that you have time to get over the jetlag and do all the laundry before having to get back into work mode.

Time for that steps and exercise celebration for September! In WEEK 4: @strong_fit_ells - top spot with 98,219 @lauren_989 - 2nd with 90,918 @jugar - I managed 68,400 for 3rd Together our 5 intrepid members moved the equivalent of 352,604 steps, or 155 miles / 250 km. We made the distance of the Atacama Crossing trail in…

@strong_fit_ells Could you post your steps/exercise for last week? (Sunday through Saturday) Then I'll be ready to make our September reports for the final week and the whole month - thanks!
-
Anyone who is tracking steps and exercise - post your final week for September and we'll see how it all shook out. Thanks! Anyone who would like to track steps and exercise, just let us know! I am temporarily tracking this while @ashleycarole86 is away, but she'll be back at it soon  If you just count steps, send…

CW 115.8 Hi all! Made it back from deepest darkest Ontario at about 1 am - doing back-to-back 8-9 hour drives Thursday and yesterday was not fun, but we made it! So my weigh in is late, but surprised the heck out of me. 2 days in a car and I lost weight??? I did get a good lot of steps in yesterday before we left, but…
-
@fourathomej Yikes! I hope you can find someone to help out - burn-out and exhaustion are rough. Hugs flying your way.
-
Didn't that feel Amazing? You are amazing!!
-
Wonderful Stepper/Exercisers ! For Week 3 you were without your usual Fearless Leader @ashleycarole86 - who is off taking zillions of steps, I'm sure, but happily staying away from computers, phones, and all the gadgets. It was still a good week! The four of us who were counting made 356,038 steps. Impressive!!…

I really love them too - the wild blackberries - but they have the sharpest, pickiest, meanest, most horrible thorns of all plants on Earth, I swear. A lot.
-
Least favourite garden task today  The blueberry and currant patch has a deer fence around it made of plastic mesh. At the end of the summer we take it down to be able to clear the grass, weeds, evil blackberries, ferns, and everything else that grows up and traps the bottom of the fence down solid. Getting it…

Another busy day! But the weigh-in at the start was not my fave moment... 117.2 Sigh.

Where did today go? It came with a handbasket, I swear. My horse has a corneal ulcer caused by the dreaded burrs - it looks like we should have had our burr cutting party a bit sooner. He has to stay in during the sunlight for a couple of weeks. The medication dilates his pupil and sun could cause retinal damage, but he…
-
@strong_fit_ells impressive steps as always! I thought I was doing great today, but you are striding out way ahead of me  I spent the early part of the day doing the entire tour of my horse's pasture chopping down burdock plants. I know they are famously the inspiration for velcro, but my horse has a HUGE talent…

@lauren_989 Myrtle Beach is looking great - as are you! My mom and step-dad used to have a place in Myrtle Beach and I have lovely memories of swimming and walking there. Enjoy!
-
OK steppers! I'm recording your numbers while @ashleycarole86 is away - no need to tag, though - I'll see them and then hit the "Insightful" reaction so that you know I have put them onto the spreadsheet. I'll add my steps for the week too, since I'm in the partner challenge and counting them anyhow. Get those steps!
-
I came here to say heck yeah! But then I see that on the challenge thread someone offered, and Jessica already has me paired up. There are still some folks looking for partners if you want the accountability, but I'm sure you'll be walking plenty over there. Have a fantastic time in beautiful France!
-
I'm looking for a partner in this week's group challenge - anyone want to join steps with me? I need a good kick in the butt for walking these days.

CW 116.8 Just snuck back into my maintenance zone, now have to stay there! I'm surprised, though - I have been well over 117 and even up to 119 one day this week, which got me really wondering what was going on. I think, like others have noted, that doing more strength workouts was pushing things up for a while, but then…

EEEEEK. 117.8 today Amazing how much a day of iffy eating can boot things upwards....
-
Well - tomorrow is weigh-in and I'm not feeling too confident :grimace: Yesterday was a eat all the things kind of day, but today has been better. We'll see! I have been on my feet a lot today, with all kinds of running around - and tomorrow I have my first meeting/rehearsal with a new quartet I have been putting together.…
-
@lauren_989 well done on the cake! stopping is hard, but you get awesome bragging rights and no regrets. @ashleycarole86 you and Brad getting back on the bike! That's how to Tuesday! I got back on the Jasper today and had an excellent workout with him. We were in the BIG arena, so big movement in balance was the…

Labor Day? Not at my house! Very little work today. Well, I just said that, then thought about what actually got done during what felt like a relaxed day - laundry, veggie picking, sorting through a few of my many shelves of music scores to find things for my new quartet, changed the bed, paid some bills, made some overdue…
-
Ashley - I'd be happy to fill in the spreadsheet with step counts and all while you are away - you should be free and clear while in France! I had an excellent September 1st today - got some great news from my sister @EvMakesChanges - big changes coming up in her life! I'll just give a hint (moving in November!) and let…
-
End of August already! I am in that wonderful honeymoon period of getting back to more intensive strength workouts - muscles feel so good when they are getting strong! Going up and down stairs, bending over to grab something heavy, swinging stuff around - it all feels great. I always have some parts of my muscles that are…

Friday! 117.0 this morning - happy to be back to the top of maintenance range. 2 weeks more at or under this, and I'll be back to the Goal Zone. The weekend is off to a good start. We are FINALLY at the time of the year when the sun is out and is not set on stun. I had a gorgeous 2 hour ride this morning and it felt so…
-
Welcome back @fourathomej !! It is great to have you return - some of us are still here from when you were with us before, but there are plenty of amazing newer folks too. It helps to keep up the inspiration and energy to make good choices more often than not-so-good ones. Maybe one day when I'm passing through Edmonton to…

Today was a good Saturday. I managed to get down our washed out hill so I could go ride Jasper - he was in fine fettle and we had a good workout together. I am about to hop on the exercise bike for a bit to get some more movement in. Food wasn't perfect today, but not bad. The veggies are so good straight out of the garden…

Halloooo! I am finally raising my head after getting home to so much rain that culminated in a total washout of our private road, making it impossible to go anywhere for a couple of days. The insurance is covering all the reconstruction, but this washout has affected the public road as well, so no one is getting around too…
