Being concerned about your weight isn't a bad thing. Being obsessed about it is. Being healthy isn't a loose weight and forget about it thing. Once we get to our goal we aren't going to toss the scale. That you enjoy jogging is a huge bonus. Many people find it hard to enjoy exercise.

I weigh everyday. I was entering each day into mfp but now I'm keeping it all in my blog and only entering in mfp when I drop below the last check in weight.

I use an excel spreadsheet to guestimate my goal date.

No one is going to be able to help you better than a dermatologist.

Starting weight 211.9 Current weight 204.8 New Goal weight 202.0 06/06 - 207.0 (-4.9) 06/13 - 204.8 (-7.1) I've already passed my goal for the month. I'm looking to loose 1lb a week but I'm happy it's going.

About two years ago I discovered i had crept up to 205lbs. I had vowed never to go over 200. So I joined mfp and changed the way I was eating. I think I dropped to 182. I deleted all those old measurements a few days ago. Then and this time I chose to focus on protein and fiber. I eat 4oz of meat 1/2 cup of rice and 2/3…

I am with you on the Coke Zero. I could give it up if I was forced but it's pretty much a daily habit for me. My struggle for today was realizing that I still have a long way to go. I'm on day 13. I've lost 7lbs so far and I have 65 more to go. But truly it's day 13 of the rest of my life. For a moment it seemed…

Starting weight 211.9lbs Current Weight 204.8lbs (7.1lb loss) Goal weight 140.0lbs I will re-evaluate then I am disabled. I have a genetic disorder that affects my entire skeletal system. The added weight to my body only causes it to break down faster than it would if I were normal. You hear people say 'Oh i'm overweight…

If you are losing inches but the scale isn't moving then you are changing fat for muscle. That is a good thing. Keep adding muscle to your body and eventually you some weight. Muscle burns more calories than fat.

It would be better if you had the attitude that 'i want to loose 37lbs in a healthy and sustainable way." You didn't put it on in a month, it's not going to come off in a month either.

It is totally doable to eat well on 1770 calories a day. I do it on 1200. For me lean meat and veggies work wonders. I divide daily calories by 4 so I keep my meals between 300-350. for you that would be 400 - 450. I generally stick with a herb coated baked chicken, rice and veggies. But look at what works for you and…

I lost weight eating what I wanted. 42lbs. Then I gained it back because I stopped counting the calories I was inhaling. The next time I changed the way I thought about food. What I want is to be lighter, healthier and more mobile. So now I eat meals high in protein and fiber. I feel so much better than when I was…

I write erotica, make jewelry and use a loom to knit. I can draw and paint but there's only so many things one can do. Oh, I also sew. I love making costumes. I'm avoiding sewing at the moment but once I loose 20 or 30lbs I'll start altering my current wardrobe. When I get close to my goal I'll start making new cloths.

I uses something similar to fight my depression and negative self image. I kept a diary and added one thing I liked about myself to a list every day. It wasn't the only tool I used but I rarely experience depression anymore and I never put myself down. I'm ok with the way I look but being overweight is bad for your health.…

For me, I divide my calories between 4 meals. Eating every 3 doesn't really leave time or a desire to snack. I also changed my diet to focus on protein and fiber. It takes me at least 20 minutes to eat my meal. With all that eating who has time to crave anything? So look to see what you can change in your current meal…

The fact is the lighter you are the less calories you need in a day. The less calories you need the less calorie deficient you can be. If you are eating 1200 calories a day and it doesn't meet your goal, then you have to exercise the rest of the calories a day. An apple isn't going to turn into an orange no matter how much…

If your poo is the consistency of putty then you are hydrated enough. If it is hard then you aren't. I hope I haven't embarrassed you or myself but facts are facts. A couple of months ago I was so dehydrated from not drinking enough fluids and medication that defecating felt like I was passing glass. It hurt, I cried and…

I have a physical disability that prevents me from doing any impact exercises. Find a pool and get in it. Even if you are moving slow, it is better than nothing at all. Also back in 2008 I lost 30lbs sitting on my bum just by counting calories. I limited myself to 1000-1200 calories a day and the weight just went off. I…

That's wonderful and you're beautiful!

If you are comfortable being 145-155 and you like that look then set that as your goal. The true goal is for you to be happy and fit. While I like the look of fit bodies, I also like a bit of softness on a woman's body.

Look for things that you'd like to do but can't currently because of your healthy/fitness. Thing about how fun they would be. I'm disabled and though the more active I am the more I hurt, I can tell you that I feel better and I move better. I've only been working on this since June 1st and I am already happier. 10 years…

I don't feel hungry so I never get that sated feeling so to me feeling full meant that my stomach hurt because it was full. What i do is monitor what I eat and eat by the clock. I eat 4 times a day and I try to keep my meals at 3 hours a part. The trick is to do what you need to do to be healthy. I set rules for myself and…

Feel free to add me as a friend if you like. I try to encourage mfp friends.

6.7 pounds to go. Then I never want to see that number again.

First of all you have to decide this is what you want. You must decide that this is what you want beyond all else. That when your mind tells your body that you must run as fast as you can you can then tell your mind that it is wrong. It has no choice. It must do this. I have a physical disability and I also have an anxiety…

Hi. I'm new to the group and have a pretty bad social anxiety. I've looked around a couple of times and fled so I figured I would force myself to post here. I have been working on my weight (this will be the last time because I won't need to do it again) since the 1st of June. I've lost 6.2lbs (2.8kg) so far and have…

I haven't felt 'hungry' since about 2002. At times I will feel sick, light headed or dizzy but never hungry. I eat by the clock.

Though you can intake too much sugar eating fruits, I don't see how you can have a problem while you are actively trying to loose weight. I don't generally look at the sugar content of anything. If you have steady energy throughout the day then what you are doing is working for you. Personally I look for Protein and Fiber…

My advice is give up candy. The reason why... you used the word CAN'T. There are things a person can't do, say... like breathing. You can't give up breathing. Candy isn't essential for you to live. It's a luxury thing. One point I couldn't give up potato chips. Now I live just fine and happy without potato chips. That mayo…
