My husband's homemade egg nog! I never liked egg nog, but that was until I had real homemade egg nog. It is soooo good, every year I have to really make the effort to count how many I have. Call it a lesson learned from our first Christmas together, LOL!

I agree, I'm going to go with small portions of the things I really love and leave the rest. The hardest part for me will be the liquid libations... Any one have ideas for cutting back on the vino?

I find the thing that helps most is a low-calorie/no-calorie sports drink. I always feel much better after a couple of them.

I'm 51 and 5' 1 1/2", desk job with a 3hrs daily in commuting. I'm slowly losing with trying to stay under my 1200 daily target. My biggest struggle is with the liquid calories.. beer and wine. i still give in every so often and just try to make up for it over the next several days. The thing that works best for me is substituting, though. I especially get cravings for chocolate. I used to weigh ever morning, but it seemed like i was up and down a quarter or half a pound with no rhyme or reason. I found that to be discouraging and went to once a week on Saturday morning. That seems to work much better for me, since I can see a difference even if it's small one at the end of a week. I still will hop…

I use mine for salsa, pepper sauces, mixing dough, slicing veggies. Hubby uses it to make his protein shakes.

Dehydrated veggies will last 1-2 yrs in a sealed jar. If you store them using a vacuum sealer they will last longer..
