Thanks so much. I'm feeling so foolish I'm amazed that there are even a few helpful comments on this thread. *hangs head in shame*. I have a feeling it will take me awhile to live this one down. :p

Also, what movie is this from?
-
@ Sarauk2sf: No idea. :/ I have to admit though, while I'm almost regretting posting this topic, I'm highly amused by many of the responses. :p

Thanks everyone for chiming in so fast. That's what I needed to know. Sorry if I'm coming across as clueless, but a few people have mentioned the flabby muscle bit to me & I figured they must know more than I. :p I'm certainly not trying to lose any weight, but I do have a much easier time losing than gaining, if it's…

I finally figured out how to get photos on my blog, but haven't gotten to resizing them to fit well in the forum. Hopefully my blog should be public & you can see, but do let me know if not. Really, there is not much change to be seen, so I'll have to settle for just knowing that my body is surely in better shape because…

Lulaloops: You're doing level 2... enough said. Seriously though, that level was hell. Pure hell day 1 through 10. Don't knock yourself short if it's still kicking your butt. I struggled through every ounce of that level, and I never, ever thought it got easier. (on the bright side, level 3 was tough but that one I felt…

Well, my 30 day mark was bittersweet. While I'm absolutely stoked that I pulled through, I have to admit that my before photos look practically identical to my after photos. I started this challenge tiny, so perhaps that is to be expected, but I was still a little bummed that I didn't see any more definition in my body in…

Question for those who post photos. I assume the only way to do so is to have them linked to an external photo hosting site, correct? I currently use flickr, but I use it as a business account so I'd prefer not to put them there. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for mentioning YouTube. I don't know why I keep forgetting about watching them for free. Now I don't have to wait until Sunday when my dvds are returned. :p
-
Do you have before & afters? I'm assuming you've been doing more than just the 30 day shred, correct?
-
@ SleeplessInBerlin: Sure thing. I don't expect you'll see much, but never know. I was small to begin with so I'm mainly hoping for some slight toning perhaps. @ TinyTasha: I'd say it's a bit hard on the knees. I actually got myself a joint supplement which helped some, and improvise a few of the routines to be easier on…

- 30 Day Shred, day 29 (day 9 of level 3) It felt so good knowing that tomorrow is my 30 day mark, with only 1 partial rest day (did level 2 that day, but didn't have weights on hand). I *think* I might see the slightest change in my stomach so I'll be curious to see the photo comparison tomorrow vs day 6. & really looking…

You need to be my mentor, your photos look very similar to my goals and my starting point. <3 Please head on over my way & drill me to the ground until my butt even remotely resembles yours.
-
@ Chloe: Congratulations! It must feel great to have finished. I wouldn't sweat your progress photos... mine are going to be quite similar. I'm small to start with, so really I'm just hoping to see even the slightest bit of toning & perhaps a slightly flatter stomach. Every bit of improvement counts, no matter how small.

*hot diggity*. Thanks so much for sharing that. Looks like exactly what I need. :)

- 30 Day Shred, day 28 (day 8 of level 3) :) :) :) Doing better. I now pause between the harder exercises for about 30 seconds to regroup, and find it helps me push through each bit with more endurance. I just hit pause after each hard exercise & dance to my music, then hit play and go at it again. I figure I probably get…

Wizbeth: Just go into level 3 like I did. Simply do as much of each exercise as you can, and if you can't do the full interval for any, sub in some squats or other routine. Anything seems to work so long as you don't stop & give the full level your all. I myself gave each advanced try a go, and when I couldn't do anymore I…

@ PrincessKitte: I'm actually confused by the multiple types of yoga & which I might like best. I am definitely a beginner, still barely have a handle on a few of the moves, have limited flexibility (I don't feel like I'm anywhere near "pointy" on downward dog, even though my arms & legs are straight & can only reach a bit…

I was thinking that myself... how I really just can't tell if I'm even close on some of the poses, and how nice it would be to have someone there to help position me so I could learn what a correct version of each pose feels like. It's very hard to emulate many of the poses when you don't have great flexibility, and then…

Don't be terrified. I love level 3 SO MUCH MORE than level 2. In fact... I'm back to getting up and being excited to do level 3, whereas I'm still dreading going back to doing level 2 again after my 30 days are up and I begin alternating the levels each day. That's how bad I think level 2 is, and I've pretty much completed…

I was doing well with calcium until I gave up the soy/nut milks. Now I have a vegan calcium supplement that takes care of 50% of my daily value, & I can get the rest with dark leafy greens & fortified orange juice in a smoothie each day, along with my other whole foods. I definitely had to have the supplement though to…

Question for those of you using protein powders. I actually was about to buy myself some, but was surprised that they were only about 20% or so of your daily recommended value. I was expecting them to be higher, I suppose, for the cost per serving. Am I just completely missing the point of these? It just seems like it…

These people definitely do exist. I was/am one of them myself and have been eating that way since my teenage years (I'm 30 now). At 5ft5, I weighed about 118 in my teenage years, then dropped to 108 and held. I was vegetarian until about 5 years ago, so perhaps that influenced things, but I ate complete crap until about 5…

I actually begin by trying to do as many of the advanced as I can, then when I poop out I just finish out the rest of that exercise with the beginner. I figure that way I've given it as much as I can each time, and I hope every few days to see that I last just a little bit longer on each advanced before I cave.

Day 27 (day 7 of level 3 *had to fix my day count as I mangled it somehow*), and I can definitely say it's getting easier. Still not cakewalk, but I'm actually enjoying this level now if I crank my own music up. I feel *much* more capable that I did at the beginning, my breathing has improved and I'm not nearly as out of…

@ fragrantair: Sorry to say, but I *hated* level 2 right up until that 10 day mark. Made level 3 seem much more enjoyable though. You just need the dvds & then feel free to join in. We're all at different points in the 30 day routine, some with other activities as well & others not. You can also check out YouTube (I think each level is available there for free), or perhaps you can nab them from your local library. I actually stumbled on this dvd at…
