  • Me too! & I have never tired of listening to Pauline. She cracks me up as well.
  • I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who had a bit of trouble with pain & the planks. Mine wasn't the wrist, but one spot on the palm of my hand. I'm pushing through it & trying to find the best way to modify, but I was really bummed because I was finally getting better at those planks.
  • - 30 Day Shred, day 25 (day 6 of level 3) Did the routine again with a good playlist going, and it really does make a world of difference. I still only made it through half of the plank arm/leg lifts alternating with the pushups for the advanced level, but that's more than I did on day 1 of level 3. & I still find that…
  • @ SleeplessinBerlin: LOL. That's too funny. I don't know how I missed that until now. :p - 30 Day Shred, day 25 (day 6 of level 3) Did the routine again with a good playlist going, and it really does make a world of difference. • :p This made my morning.
  • Glad to see someone is keeping up. I'm barely managing my 30 day shred video at the moment. Hoping I can start December with a fresh start.
  • - 30 Day Shred, day 24 (day 5 of level 3) Getting easier today, and I found a way to make it much more enjoyable (though honestly, I really don't hate this level much anymore anyway). Since I'm a bit more familiar with the level now, I ended up making a grooveshark playlist of some peppy Maroon 5 songs, put it on shuffle &…
  • Day 23 (day 4 of level 3) Still liking this level more than level 2, and starting to feel like I'm making progress on it. The intervals are definitely easier than level 2, but I do pause this one frequently to get some water & catch my breath. I find pausing to catch my breath really, really helps me to push through the…
  • Ahhh yes... I adore how quickly & well it makes oat flour. <3 I've also made some larabars, which tripped the circuit breaker but it still got the job done first. <3
  • - 30 Day Shred, day 22 (day 3 of level 3) ***without weights*** I had to cram this in at my mothers house today while I wait for the stray kitty with ear cancer to be done with her vet appointment. I didn't have weights here, but I figured it was better than not doing the routine & tomorrow I'll consider it a repeat of my…
  • Not yet, but I have some frozen bananas in the freezer just waiting. We were planning on giving the motor on our vitamix a brief looking over before I pushed it too hard, as I've already popped the circuit breaker making larabars & then I was certain I smelled a bit of motor strain after that. We just want to make sure the…
  • I am not overweight so I'm sure that makes a very big difference in being able to pull through this, but I am very, very out of shape since I never, ever bothered to exercise. I'm on my first few days of level 3, and I can say that it was no cakewalk for me. I fall to my knees at points, have to improvise a few of the…
  • - 30 Day Shred, day 22 (day 2 of level 3) - Butt Bible, day 15 (day 1 of level 2) ***Only lasted 25 minutes*** Still tackling level 3 of 30 Day Shred, and I can say with certainty that while it's still no fun, it just seems more doable than level two ever did to me. I can feel the slow progress on this level, whereas level…

  • Day 21 (day 1 of level 3) Well, it's no cakewalk, but I definitely like it better than level 2, and I also think it seems to go by a lot faster than the other two levels (does anyone know if it is, indeed, shorter?). The only part have major trouble with is the jumping with my knees, so I minimize the impact for those &…

  • I don't mind soy, but I think I may have a slight allergy to it. Whenever I have soy yogurts my throat gets sore. That being said, I just work around it. I get half of my protein from a multivitamin, and the rest I can pick up throughout the day. Nut butter will get a pretty fair amount for me. As for improvising foods, I…
  • LOVE overnight oats. OhSheGlows has quite a few great recipes, and you simply combine the ingredients in a bowl, refrigerate & enjoy the next morning. I love that they are far chewier since they didn't really cook, just soaked up the liquid. & you can pretty much wing it as far as recipes are concerned.
  • I'm not a huge quinoa fan, but I like to have a widely varied natural diet so I try to mix it in other foods I enjoy. I find it hides nicely in chili. & also in mixes of other hot grain cereals.
  • hot cooked cereals (all types of oats, cream of wheat, amaranth, millet, corn grits) made with fresh fruit, cinnamon, coconut, flax seeds. whole grain pancakes/waffles with seeds, nuts, fruit & coconut oil - topped with pureed fruit mixes. homemade larabars (usually packed with nuts, seeds, dried fruit, coconut, lime or…
  • Day 20 (day 10 of level 2!!!) :) Looking forward to level 3 tomorrow!

  • Eeek. Sorry. Did I say #3... I meant #2. I haven't even seen #3. I'm running on empty this week and my brain is slightly frazzled.
  • My schedules been thrown to hell with an intake of a foster stray kitty with ear cancer & a vet scare with my own kitty that turned out to be a large amount of packed in ear wax. I was flying through my worked first thing in the AM, and now am happy if I can just cram it in somewhere during the day with the juggle of all…
  • I enjoy Sweating w/ the Oldies #1. Did not enjoy #3. So far those are the only two I've tried.
  • Are you close to ending level 2 as well? I think it's absolute hell. :p
  • day 9 of level 2, and all I can say is thank god... I still hate this level every bit as much as day 1, & my first rest day did nothing to change my stand on that. one more day and it's on to level 3. So far I can't say I've noticed too much in the way of changes. I'm eating to maintain weight, and so far so good. My…

  • Would have been day 9 of level 2, but had a scary day at the vet followed by a wait for a locksmith. Ended up calling this my first "rest day", and will tackle day 9 of level 2 tomorrow. On the bright side, the vet visit turned out expensive but ok after all, and I'll find out tomorrow what a rest day does or doesn't do…
  • Finally took my first full rest day since this week has been all over the place. Wasn't wanting to, but there was simply no time to get it done today anyway. Aiming to jump back in this weekend, fingers crossed. I was doing great at getting all the exercise in until real life crept up all at once, so kudos to those of you…
