I don't know what I am more excited about, week 8 starting tomorrow or that its a full rest week!

You sound like me! Week 5-6 are really hard ones! I loved EM2WL until that point and kept wanting to quit, but since I am not a quitter and am a woman of my word I am still finishing this to the "end". I started week 8 on Sunday and I almost don't want to and not because of the calories. Once I busted through and into week…

Have you done a diet break yet? Every 4-6 weeks its a great idea to eat at TDEE for 1-2 weeks and rest from your workout routine if you haven't already. Some say thats when they see the most changes.

I don't see where you have destroyed all your work. I doubt those four pounds are actual fat and if it is? So what? Its four pounds. I would just stay off the scale. No one but you sees that 4 pounds. If you cut too early, you might really pay for it. Four pounds is nothing and if you are in a reset it is expected. I…

Whenever I hear someone say EM2WL didn't work for them, I always wonder if they actually followed the guidelines. It seems to me those people jump into the 15% cut then gain, then give up after a few weeks saying "it didn't work for them". I think most people need the reset not just for the metabolism repair but for the…

I am really starting to think there is something about finishing up week 4 and week 5. I felt exactly like you. I am not a whiner or cry easily. Ok, I may whine for a bit to myself but then I get over it. Those two weeks were really hard for me and it seemed like others as well. It felt like a breaking point, too much to…

What is your cut? Maybe start out at a lower cut say 5-10% if you chose a higher one. Or at the least add 100 calories to get you through.

Bethad5. Its that 7 miles, I catch it everytime since its sort of an odd run. Usually its a 3k, 5k, 10k and so on.:drinker:

So great to hear! Great work!

Sweatpants, are you running the Bix7? I am and so is another member on this thread! Small world  On Sunday I decided to cut out my running and lower my TDEE. I will still run/walk the Bix but just eat more that day. I am still tired but not as much and so far today I haven't had to take any Tylenol for a headache…

Sweatpants, I could have written that myself! Just yesterday I did decide to cut out m y running and lower my activity level to moderate. The stress in my life seems to keep piling up the last few months and weeks, then after some disappointing news and the bank screwing up my account "which can't be fixed over the weekend…

Thanks! I went ahead and lowered to moderate and on these few odd days I do run I will just eat a little more:drinker:

Maybe you could try the Scooby calculator and compare? http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ I agree you should run your numbers again. I would stay at the 15% cut and definitely do a full reset week, maybe even two since you haven't done one at all. Do you exercise? Maybe you could also take a break from that…

I am definitely carrying more weight in my hips/belly. Its not all over and I haven't gained in my face but its so uncomfortable! I agree with the 3 babies, though! Especially the third pregnancy really added a roundness that I have never had before. Even at my highest weight I always had a flat belly. Still more fat than…

Yes, we are at the same pace and yes, lately all I feel is just plain huge! Then I went over TDEE yesterday by about 500. TOM is next week and this is what happened last time. I just would get so hungry and couldn't get satisfied....I really didn't want that to happen again but what do ya do *shrug* I am surprisingly not…

My husband is a self-proclaimed fast-food addict! And yes, he could eat tacos for days... I am not his Mother, so he can make his own choices. I make what I make and on the nights he is home I try to make things I know he will like. I have even gotten him more open to try newish things. He knows my stance on the importance…

Well....yes. But for the past two years I have been basically stuck. Anytime I did lose, I always gained it right back. I am just ready for something to actually work! I really like the idea of letting go and not trying to lose weight, but I have been feeling so gross lately that I am getting anxious to cut and eat less. I…

Whats kind of funny is I was never that person who's always cold but I would get sweaty when no one else would. Now I have noticed I don't seem to mind the heat as much. Yesterday was run day but I decided maybe I would just walk since it was so hot. Then once I was out there I wish i had worn my running gear because while…

I roast it then sprinkle on curry powder and lemon juice, a little salt. Even my kids love it!

Thank you spotlight! I even had to bookmark that

I am so happy to hear that you are going to stick it out! If you didn't, eventually I am sure it would creep in the back of your mind, "what if?" You can always do the cleanse and lower cals. But this takes time and mental strength. You would have to start over because while that way of life may work for them, it very well…

Just think of it as being a great example/role model to your friend. While I take no joy from my friends struggles and when they gain the weight back, I think of it as hey, I am here waiting for you for when this phase of juicing backfires. Sure, EM2WL can be so hard. But I think its harder to see weight drop quickly, only…

My husband sent me this: "Its almost as hot as you in here today......almost:wink: "

I use this program and it works great for me: http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/dumbbell-only-home-or-gym-fullbody-workout.html?page=2 I bought a set of weights at 20lbs from Walmart that uses plates ($20). I believe the Gold Gym brand. They got decent reviews and I figured I would use them as a starter set and go…

Yes!! I love to warm up the PB and just dip the banana in! And for those days I need it, I'll add some chocolate chips to the warm PB and swirl it....

Wow, I am so impressed! When I heard Kiki did the reset for 3 months I was so shocked...then scared that maybe it would be the best route for me too! I just don't think I can do it, though. My plan is cut 10% at 8 weeks then back up to TDEE every 4 weeks and see how that goes. Great work and dedication! Keep us posted on…

It is looking like week 4 is getting most of us! I wonder if its something to do with our bodies adjusting or if we are getting a little too comfortable. I am still tracking and weighing, I still workout the same although i do let myself sit down more during the day. I am actually doing better with hitting my macros most…

Why do you need his permission to set up the bench? In our house I would just do it myself if I wanted it done. But I also don't talk much about my workouts or calories unless its with someone who is like minded. I might mention things here and there to my DH but I do have other more important things to talk about. But I…
-
I was told the same thing. If you are talking a week or so then stay at your current TDEE. If you are talking a month off then you would adjust your TDEE.

I have noticed some changes but it is hard to know if its related to eating more. Tom has been different since the birth and breastfeeding of my last two babies. My last baby will be three in August. She was a breast milk die hard but I have had almost a year now having TOM back and IMO plenty of time to sort itself out…
