i'm "running" my first 10k sunday !! i've been training for awhile so my endurance is there BUT i can't honestly say that i can run a mile without stopping so i vow to catch my breath and start back up - so i'm not really worried about running the whole thing but i plan on finishing strong !! GOOD LUCK !!

i too learned this when i started using the body bugg by body media !! so now i don't even fool with elliptical LOL - i "run" (more like jog/walk LOL) 5 miles outside 3 days a week , brisk walk with incline 2 miles on the treadmill & lift weights the other 2 days

very slow jogger here !! LOL ...but i found that i was able to cover more distance if i slow down ....i think this jogging thing is more about the endurance to go a greater distance ....i jog/walked 5 miles this morning in 1:15 ...all kind of people were passing me by but i don't care !!

i do it every morning AFTER the gym and right before i jump in the shower but i only mentally record it on mondays - and i only put it in MFP if i've lost atleast a pound ....i don't bother with numbers after the decimal point LOL

very hard in the beginning - but after a few weeks it'll be like second nature , i love seeing the "regulars" at the gym or on my walk trail ....go to be early and watch what you have for dinner - too heavy or a greasy meal makes you feel like crap at 5:30 am trying to get out of bed !

this is how i've used the shakes too ...BUT now i feel like a heel for that LOL ...i highly doubt that it could ever actually "replace" a meal for me , it just gets me to my next meal without going calorie crazy snacking

couldn't agree more ! first you should make a commitment to yourself "i will go to the gym tomorrow" - then go , even if you don't feel like it - afterwards you'll feel great , build on that feeling for the next day .

i use the body bugg too , i did 5 miles walk/jog in a lil under 90 mins this morning and burned 975 calories ....i'm also a big girl and i think that plays a huge factor - its the ONE perk of being heavier LOL

YUP !! that's exactly why i invested in a body bugg by body media ....how else could you effectively use MFP if you are inputting bogus numbers ? i look at it like a "bank account" , burning extra calories gives me wiggle room to enjoy a treat every now and then and still be under my calorie goal

ok !! i weigh myself RIGHT after leaving the gym , right after i've used the bathroom , right before the shower - NAKED ....LOL i realize that this is when i'm the "lightess" and prefer seeing that number , makes me feel better about myself all day long !

i can totally relate ! i hate it when i think of all the hard work i put in during the week JUST to ruin it on the weekend....instead of "cheat days" do "cheat meals" - 1 on saturday and 1 on sunday , that way it shouldn't do too much damage
