A negative net is not a good thing. You should either have a goal of a 1000 calorie net to lose 2 lbs a week, or a net of 1500 cals to lose 1lb a week. Interesting. I would think this is true as well because as you lose weight and are aware of it, you can accurately adjust your food intake & exercise with your new BMR. I've been losing almost (.8) lbs daily, and like, it makes a difference in my BMR. Tiny difference , but there is a difference.
