Way to go! That's a great achievement!

I have a love/hate relationship with my curly hair. Today I like it - when it's good it's my best feature.
-
You explained it the same way my daughter did. Thank you!

6 to 8 would work for me. That's what I was until a few years ago. I am currently a size 12 (barely! Ugh).

My daughter explained to me that you need to eat back at least some of the calories to fuel the exercise otherwise you're body could go into starvation mode feeding off your muscles instead of the fat. This sounds lame, but she explained it to me in terms that made sense.

Frankly I'm thrilled to have friend's/relative's "fat clothes" because I don't look at them like that. Clothes that fit whatever transitional level I'm at are a bonus!

Feel free to add me - I'm new too and we can use the support!

Well said!

I say accept the clothes, wear them until you've blown past that size then ask her if she'd like them back! :blushing:

You look terrific! 35 pounds in two months?????

No matter how much weight I lose, they always stay the same. I'm not sure how that works....

I also just started and I too am 56 years old. I haven't lost anything yet - its only been a few days but I'm really committed to this process. I'd love to have friends on MFP! So far I just have my two daughters, one of which is really kicking bootie on here - 13 pounds so far!

I'm also new and felt confused by the 1200. My daughter who has been doing MFP for some time now told me 1200 calories are for if you have a lot of weight to lose. She suggested that I stay around 1385 and exercise correctly and the pounds will come off. That's what I'm going for. Good luck!!!:flowerforyou:
