Switched to olive or coconut oil for cooking with. Have only tried spaghetti noodles once so far but they were delicious. I've also made pancakes made from coconut flour instead of the usual grain based recipes. Their delicious and better for you!

Peanuts (and therefore peanut butter) are legumes, not nuts, so they are not actually paleo.

Do you do any exercise on the day after you session with the trainer? It might be a good idea, like a long, easy walk or job, or maybe a couple laps in the pool. As for diet, I'm a huge fan of eating within 30 minutes to an hour after work out, especially carbs and protein. My go to is turkey wraps with avocado, tomato,…

You also want to cut back on sugar intake, as sugar promotes fat storage and weight gain. Even if you think you're eating pretty healthy with yogurts, juices, and smoothies, check the sugar content before hand and think twice about it since weight loss is your goal. Start tracking your sugar intake on your MFP diary and…

Try eating more protein during your meals, maybe? Instead of having 4oz of chicken, try 6 or 8oz. It'll fill you up a bit more for longer.

I started working on pull ups with negatives and australian pull ups to start (find a bar low to the ground and pull yourself up keeping your back and legs straight with feet on the floor....it almost looks like a reverse push up), plus using the assisted pull up machine and doing lat pull downs. I'm up to 3 pull ups with…

How far can you rank up in boot camp? Is E-3 the max?

Free weights for sure. I always find that I have a better/harder/more effective session with free weights vs. machines. However, I've been in LOVE with body weight exercises lately, especially circuits. Just being able to move freely like the human body is supposed to is a blast!

Definitely stick with the high protein part. Be careful about how many carbs you cut out of your diet, especially on days you exercise heavily. Carbs = fuel for your body. I like to cut down on fat first, only keeping healthy fats, before moving on to thinking about carbs. But of course, at the end of the day, watch your…

One of my favorites is to drizzle some EVOO onto asaragus then lightly cover with parmesan. Bake at 400 degrees for about 12 mins. Yum! Sauteing is fun, though keep it light on the butter. Also, cucumber and grape tomato with fresh dill lightly coated in EVOO for something quick and cold.

Hey everyone! I'm Cat. I'm 22 years old, 5'4", 138lbs, and an avid rugby player. My dad introduced me to MFP a few months ago but I haven't really gotten into it until now that I put back on the 8 lbs I had lost over the summer :-/ My current goal is to lose 10-15lbs over the next 50 days while getting in shape for the…

For the Next 50, my goals are: -Lose 10-15lbs of fat, while gaining muscle and tone (my ideal weight is between 125-130. Currently hovering between 136-140) -Add more cardio to my workouts, especially running/sprinting to get ready for rugby season -Start working out in the mornings -Eat more veggies -Cook more, eat out…

Hydrate hydrate hydrate. A lot of the time, we think we're hungry when really we're dehydrated. Drinking a glass of water before every meal will fill you up a bit and prevent over eating. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day will also suppress feelings of hunger. Small, protein-rich and/or fiber-rich snacks between…

Definitely a beer snob and have begun to dabble in brewing. I do find myself drinking Miller, Bud, etc if that's the only thing available though. Nothing like a good quality brew!

Crepes Sausage or whatever breakfast meat you prefer Spinach Potatoes White onions Garlic Powder Salt and pepper Cheese Green Pepper (optional) Rosemary (optional) Red Pepper flakes (optional) Throw that in a skillet then wrap it up in a crepe (you can get pre-made crepes at Safeway). I love eating cottage cheese with fruit, especially melons. You can also add nuts or seeds to give it some texture, or put it on top of toast.
