He's just setting himself up to not get friend-zoned himself. It sounds like he likes you. My boyfriend (that I met on OKC) kind of did the same thing to me the very first time he messaged me. After our first date we were both hooked. Take your time and don't be discouraged.

Awe, I'm sorry you're sensitive about your jazz. Like an adult, I can accept that people have differing opinions about music without getting my panties in a bunch.

I was only 2.5% off. I clearly spend too much time obsessing about my body. Also, calling me a "perfect pear" doesn't make it sound more appealing.

What makes you think it was only the men?

I state that they are alike in the fact that they are really random and chaotic...and that they both hurt my brain.

I don't like it. It's too much like jazz in that it has no melody or continuity (Not saying Dubstep sounds like jazz). My boyfriend keeps trying to sway me into liking it. It's not happening. I prefer trip hop and electronica stuff like Massive Attack, Nightmares on Wax, RJD2, Thievery Corporation, etc. Edited to clarify…

I finally learned not to let myself get miserable. I'd say that up until my early thirties I was a wallow in my sadness kind of person. Then I realized that while I was whining about it, life was just passing me by. I don't have a stress free life. I'm a single mom living on a fairly low income. I just finally decided that…

It's because I grew up and discovered good music and different types of men.

I loved him too...in the 6th grade.

You should give yourself the credit. You decided to quit and you did it. To the OP: Congrats and hang in there!

I take the little wine juice boxes as a luxury. They are worth the little extra weight in the pack. :drinker:

Yes and no. He loves to hike, backpack and mtn bike. He doesn't understand my need to workout almost every day and he doesn't understand why I like organized races etc. He also never tries to stop me and really appreciates the benefits of all my hard work. :blushing: He's not lazy by any means but he could stand to lose a…

That's about how much I make and it's quite pitiful, however I love my job and that means so much more in my life than money. I never go home stressed and I never dread getting up and going to work. They treat me well and give me a lot of flexibility as a single mother. They are like family. All of that goes a lot further…

There is shaming for every body type and of course it doesn't accomplish anything. In fact people shame others for every reason under the sun and it never accomplishes anything. We are basically turning into a society of judgmental, intolerant *kitten*.

How disgusting is it to place judgement on someone based on an article containing a tiny snippet of her life.

I was 18 and went to Germany to nanny for my 2 nieces. I traveled alone and navigating the Paris, Amsterdam and Munich airports by myself was a little intimidating. I was a cute 18 year old so I had plenty of help.

I love how so many people keep assuming others have "crusty gross" feet. Some of us take proper care of them and they are always well manicured...or pedicured, if you prefer.

My office is extremely casual. I'm always barefoot unless it's winter and then I'm in slippers. I really don't care because I'm the office manager and I rule this place. I do slip my shoes on to use the restroom because that's just nasty.

This is so helpful. I'm sure the OP, who is doing something good to improve his life, never thought of that. I just quit again. I quit cold turkey about six years ago but fell off the wagon for a while after going through some crap in my life. I like cold turkey but this time I have kept an ecig around for the times when…

You're 18, I'm sure you look fine without makeup.

I've used both the Nook and the Kindle and I like the Kindle a lot more. The battery life is longer and it isn't as bulky as the Nook. (My Nook was older so I'm not sure if they have gotten smaller) I know everyone loves their tablets but I would not want to read on a back lit screen all the time. I love that the Kindle is…

It is really scary, but it's the reality of this country. It all basically boils down to laziness and an unwillingness to actually use your brain. The best thing I ever did for myself and my daughter was to eliminate cable tv from my life. I'm free of Kardashians, cable tv news morons, hillbillies that require their…

...nevermind. I don't even watch The View and I don't ever get my valuable information from tv personalities.

Why should she be held accountable? She's a comedian, not a doctor. Shouldn't everyday citizens be held responsible for their own research and decision making? Why should there always be someone else to blame for people acting stupidly?

Who cares? I don't tend to get my medical (or any other) advice from tv personalities. She's kind of funny. I'm guessing that's why she got the job.
