Finishing books that suck
I'm 83% through A Feast for Crows and I hate it! It is the most boring book in the series so far. I used to think that Martin was just a long-winded and self important author but now I'm thinking he is a bit sadistic and intentionally torturing his readers with complicated plot lines and the disappearance of favored…

For the Ladies-A not-so delicate question about peeing
Has anyone tried any of the funnel type "urine directors" for women? Basically, it's a funnel made for women so that we can make our tinkle without squatting. I am thinking about getting one of these for a 3 day bike tour this weekend. Not so much for the ride, but the camping. We will be in a tent city on a school field…

Is anyone going to watch Jens Voigt today?
Here is the link to watch live. http://www.trekbikes.com/hour_record/ I admit that I don't keep up with racing very much, but this should be epic. 12:00pm CDT

No Drop Rides
Who is responsible for making sure no one gets dropped? I just need to settle a debate.

Louie "So Did The Fat Lady"
I feel like I'm the only one that watches Louie, but I think it's probably one of the most intelligent shows out there. Did anyone else catch the episode "So Did The Fat Lady"? Louie finally agrees to go on a date with an awesome (overweight) woman and she delivers this speech.…

Teaching a mtn biker path/road safety
My guy and I love to ride together. He on his fat bike and I on my gravel bike. Since the weather has been nice, we have been doing a lot more path/road riding. Since we met, I've been trying to teach him some basic safety "rules" for riding on the road or path around other people. He has resisted and I have let things go…

Gravel Rides
Is anyone a gravel grinder? The man and I have decided this is a perfect compromise between my roads and his single track. I am terribly excited to embark on this new area of riding. Does anyone have some good info or tips? I'll finally be putting some miles on that shiny new mtn bike.

What is up with this shark fin saddle??
http://www.bikerumor.com/2014/02/21/found-essax-shark-saddle-fins-its-way-between-your-sit-bones/ Really? Really? After just having surgery to remove my tailbone, the thought of having this thing wedged between my cheeks makes me cringe. I make an effort on my own to keep proper riding form.

In 2014, let's resolve not to kill anyone. Okie doke?
It takes very little effort to share the road with cyclists. Believe it or not, we are not there to fck with drivers. We are commuters, athletes, adventure seekers, moms, dads, sons, and daughters. Please take a moment to read this short, perfectly reasonable article on how to safely share the road with your fellow human…

swimming at the gym
Is it inappropriate to swim laps in a regular bikini? I don't own a one piece but if it's better etiquette, I guess I'll buy one.

Stephen King has a distorted vision of Colorado
I am almost finished reading The Stand. While I love that it's set mostly in Colorado, it made me realize that Stephen King, as much as he loves to write about this fine state, has a pretty skewed view of it. In The Shining, the entire premise of the story is based around a hotel that is closed for an entire winter season…

Christmas bike loot
So what did ya get for your bike this Christmas? I got new ergo grips and pretty green pedals for my mtn bike. I also got a single speed as seen in my profile pic. I lover her, she is beautiful. My future mother in law made me a fabulous bike quilt and I got a super cute Me Likey Bikey shirt. Better than any of that was…

Fabulous Women
I watched this documentary last night and I really just had to share it. It's about an hour long but it's worth it to be get to know these "little old ladies". This is how I've always seen myself growing old. Not only did they inspire me in how I want to be in the future, but they've inspired me to want to change the here…

Indoor Cycling Apps
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good indoor cycling app? I'll mostly be stuck on my spin bike until about March and although I have spinning dvds and playlists, I find it hard to stay on the bike for more than 20 minutes. It's incredibly boring but I need to keep up my strength and endurance.

Question about Zombies, Run
If you use this app do you think it would transfer over well for a spin bike? I don't really run much and the time has come to be stuck on an indoor bike. I get really bored with the spin dvds and music doesn't always keep me motivated. The app has always sounded like fun but I'd rather Zombies, Ride!

Best live music moment
I've been walking around all week like a big excited dork about seeing my favorite band, Built to Spill. So the show was last night and it was a fabulous show (my 4th time seeing them) but then came the encore and they played The Smith's "How Soon is Now". It was probably the best moment I've ever had at a show.…

Would you work with your SO?
The wonderful company I work for has just offered me a job opportunity for my SO. He has expressed interest in the past about working for us. This could open up a whole new career for him. My big question is, do you think this is just a horrendous idea? We would rarely see each other very much as he would be in the field…

Friends who are positive and grounded in reality
I've been on MFP but I think I'd like to add some new friends. I really love all the stupid shenanigans on here but I'm also in a current state where I need to do a little mental shifting. I have been far too obsessed with my body and I'm trying to fix that. A few months ago I was down to 115lbs and about 15% body fat. It…

Thai Yoga Massage
Has anyone had one? There is a local groupon deal and I'd kind of like to try it but it looks a little intimate. For some reason I have less of a problem being completely naked and having someone give me a massage than being fully clothed and having some guy's foot right near my cooch and my legs up over his shoulders.…

NSV: Back Envy
For a while now I've been pretty envious of all the sexy back shots of some of you ladies. I decided to take one today...just to see how I'm doing. I had no idea my back looked like this. I'm quite pleased with myself. Thanks to all of you other strong, sexy ladies who keep me motivated.

Oh, my aching coccyx!
I have self diagnosed myself with Coccydynia. It's a fancy name for "geezus, my butt hurts!" It has been going on for a few months now and it's is getting progressively worse. I have already switched out my thongs for granny panties and I'm trying to sit up straight but it is just not getting better. I am terrified to get…

Cycling and Weight Loss
I just thought I would post this article. I lost the majority of my 50 lbs on my bike. At first it was just a little hobby and now it is a great love in my life. For those that have issues with high impact exercises (like myself), cycling is a wonderful alternative and it is so rewarding. It's also a lot of fun!…
