Sounds like you like the chocolate syrup more than the espresso. How about a cup of warm chocolate milk (skim or 1%)? Or cut the amount of chocolate syrup in half.

FIRE your doctor! Walking is great exercise! Between eating healthy and walking on the treadmill, I have: 1. Lost 32 lbs. to date 2. Got my blood sugar back in the normal range 3. Lowered my blood pressure and the medication for it. 4. Lowered my cholesterol and the medication for it. I have a plate and screws in my right…

I have lost 30 lbs and I am down to a small size 10 jeans from a large size 14 jeans. I will be shopping for size 8 jeans soon!

You should discuss with your doctor!

I Googled low oxalate diet and this was the first web page that came up. Check out the others. http://www.upmc.com/healthatoz/patienteducation/documents/lowoxalatediet.pdf

You need to get it straight in your head - THIS is a lifestyle change! It is a learning, ongoing process. This is NOT a fad diet, quick fix, etc. Winners never quit and quitters never win.

I went to the store when I decided to start exercising. I tried on TONS of shoes. I ended up buy 2 pair and I alternate wearing them. One pair is New Balance and the other is Avia. You have to find what feels good and fits YOUR feet.

How about a piece of fruit or sugar free pudding or jello?

I would dump the stuff out of the bag/wrapper into the garbage can or garbage disposal and tell him THAT is what I think of the GARBAGE he is bringing home! I would also tell him that is were all junk non-healthy stuff will go when he brings it home.

Weigh and measure once a week on the same day and time.

Do you have a local farmer's market near you? There is one that I go to from time to time and in the back you can get better deals. The fruits and veggies are slightly older, may be slightly bruised, etc. but the price is definitely worth it. Also buying what is in season will help to keep your costs down. I also recently…

WOO HOO! Feels great doesn't it. Keep up the good work.

If it doesn't come with a manual, do a Google search for the make, model and the word manual. Depending on bells and whistles you can set it up properly and use it properly. I, personally, started out three months ago walking on my treadmill at the slowest speed and no incline for 10 minutes and worked up from there. Where…

I reduced more of the sugar than the honey. Still holds together.

I use a recipe similar to that. Over time I have gradually decreased the sugar and honey. Still tastes great!

Making a LIFESTYLE change by eating healthier and exercising. I am SO tired of people asking me what diet I am on. Diets only work while you are on them. Once you go off of them (and you will) you will gain weight back. I am only losing 1-2 lbs. a week and that is perfect. BUT I have also gotten my blood sugar back in the…

Slow and steady wins the race. Hopefully you are changing your lifestyle (eating healthier and exercising) and not doing some silly crash diet. The weight WILL come off. Also depending on your exercise, you could be building muscle. Did you take beginning measurements? Are you clothes fitting differently? Don't give up!

That's great! I was excited too when I moved out of the obese range and into the overweight range. NOW I am working on getting into the normal range. I am ALMOST there.

I started here in December because my blood sugar was high and the doctor wanted to put me on diabetes meds. I was already on high doses of BP and cholesterol meds. I told him to give me 90 days and I would get my blood sugar in the normal range. I went back last week. My blood sugar is back in the normal range and my BP…

My Harley is in the shop and the weather is beautiful! I MIGHT get it back by the weekend. But it's likely to rain this weekend.

Some day I will! I did volunteer and hand out water at a marathon this past weekend.

cucumber slices soaked in vinegar and onions

I keep sliced cucumbers in vinegar and onions in the fridge. They are crunchy, cold, tangy, and pretty much no calories. I also have kosher dill pickles in the fridge.

Wish I could find the PB2 locally. There shipping prices are outrageous. I sell online and know shipping prices.

Try to find a lower fat cheese; that will lower the far content. I have been looking for better choices for some of my favorite recipes and it can be done. I had a recipe that the portion size for a reasonable calorie count was way too small. So I used some healthier choices and WALLA I could have a decent portion size…

I take Naturemade also. I always take one in the morning and I take one with dinner about half the time. I also use ground flax seed in a lot of recipes.

According to the goals you set you lost more weight in the last week than you should have. It happens to me on occasion. I just ignore it. NOW if you had lost 20 lbs in a week, I would recommend that you re-evaluate your calories and exercise. It is not wise to lose too much weight too fast. Slow and steady is best!

Ya gotta believe!

Go to the recipe tab and enter all the ingredients and the nutritional values (on the back of the package). You will also need to determine how many servings. Then you save the recipe. When you are entering food in your diary instead of going to your favorites or the database, there is a recipe tab. Go there to add the…
