QUOTE: Ok, don't laugh, but I like the treadmill because the bathroom is fifteen feet away. I love running outside, but it SUCKS when that problem arises and there isn't a 7-11 for miles. And sometimes you just can't go behind a tree, if you know what I mean. ___ What do you mean, you just can't go behind a tree? Of course…

And sometimes you just can't go behind a tree, if you know what I mean. But seriously, I do love having a treadmill, because it gives me…

It always bugs me when contestants would beat themselves up for ONLY losing 5lbs in one week. Plus the negative things said about past winners that gained back the weight annoyed. They did an show on Eric, one of the first winners, and his wife said the show literally dropped him after he won. But once he gained the weight…

I stopped losing weight because my body adjusted to the same running route and distance. I threw in fartleks (speed drills), hills, and additional cross training weight training, and weight loss resumed.

I found a single earbud on Amazon. This way I get my music but can still hear traffic and dogs. I tried just using one of a set of earbuds, but hated having the extra cord hanging around or coming untucked.

Eating more has worked for me. I was eating the calories suggested by the MFP website and continued to gain and lose the same two pounds for two months. I then increased my calories to my BMR, and lost 5lbs in two weeks.

You can add me too. My first half will also be on September 22 (Denver Rock N Roll). I've been running 5k's for the last 2 years (kinda slow, most likely because of my weight) and will starting on 10ks this spring/summer. I did a 10k last week in 85 minutes. I'm going to follow Higdon's plan as well. They seem to make…

THANK YOU for all the suggestions!!! I have been so frustrated. I have a Polar FT4 and my co-worker has a Timex. Her calorie burn is always so much higher than mine (by several hundreds of calories). I ran (actually ran/walked) for 90 minutes last week and burned about 900 calories, she burned about the same in half the…

I've been STRUGGLING so bad for the last few months. I hit 199, then sprang back up. Being in my 40"s is hard. Please feel free to add me.

Oh man, you suck :noway: - but really, I'm JUST KIDDING  , that is an AWESOME time. I'm just really jealous, I did a 10k this weekend too, but it took me closer to 90 minutes. However, you should be extremely pround and keep working that time down.

BUMP (FOR LATER)!!!

I was struggling to finish a 5k, when the Beastie Boys "Fight for You Right" came on my MP3 player. I flew over that finish line.

I flew to Phoenix to watch my sister run the Race for the Cure. Afterwards, when walking to the car, I couldn't keep up with any of my family, even though they had run a 5k and I had sat and watched. No one waited for me, and even got a little annoyed with me. I wanted to cry. Later that afternoon, I had to fly back home.…

Unless you treadmill is counting your weight, height, age, and sex, etc, it is most likely not accurate. You need a heart rate monitor.

I not sure if I would want to run in something like spanx. I would get pretty hot layering like that. I say go with compression tights or shorts. I get mine at all the places mentioned (Old Navy, JC Penney's and TJ Maxx).

I have a theory - ratings were down since Jillian left, so the producers decided to attract viewers with all this drama. I don't think it's working!!!!

I would like to agree with all of you, but the post was removed... BUMMER!!!
