I totally agree! A professional fitting is worth every penny. All seats are not created equal and you have to find one that fits your pressure points correctly and a fitting will tell you if you put more weight on the front, middle, or back while riding. Don't ride in pain!

I lift 4x per week and way heavier than 10-15lbs and my uterus is just fine! Lifting heavy is perfectly fine for women just be sure you have someone to help you with proper form so you don't get injured.

I use a HRM too but I have noticed that since I've lost 40 pounds I don't burn as much and that just sucks!! My 12 mile ride that I first started out with I used to burn about 600-700 calories now I'm lucky to burn 400 on a day I'm working on speed. Damn!! 1000 calories in 16 miles!! Do you MTN bike or road? I do road cycling and it usually takes me about 25 miles to burn 1000 calories and thats at about 17mph avg. I've got to step it up!!

First thing is yes get one with a chest strap because they tend to be more accurate. You will wear the strap under your bra band. Yes most of these are washable.
