• Rodie here! I can usually ride year round here in the South! Very few cold days.
• One great site is racesonline.com. There is a ride here in MS that's on the Natchez Trace Parkway June 8, 2016. It's a ride to raise money for cycling safety and the name is Little Mountain Ride. The Natchez Trace is a premier riding parkway with beautiful scenery and friendly wildlife year round. I am blessed to able to…
• I live in Kosciusko!!!
• Weather is nice and hot here in MS (90 degrees) and we ride mostly year round maybe sit out about a month to six weeks. I love riding and we have a great National Parkway where I live to ride on. I'm getting out in the moring to do a 30-40 mile ride! What kind of bike did you get?

• That's great! Riding with a group is always fun!! You're going to love the road bike!
• On days when the wind is calm I'll average 17-18 mph and that's on a 20-25 mile ride. When I ride longer distances 40-60 miles I usually average about 15-16 mph. Just keep riding and speed and distance will come.
• I have a Road ID braclet too. I don't know of any others. Like the above poster saidd you can put whats important to you on it. Check out their website they have a lot of great choices and colors.
• I love mines too and never leave home without it!!

• Yep another overweight cyclist here!! I've lost 40 pounds since riding and yes that has made a difference but also riding with people who are faster than me helped a lot too. We have a local club that I ride with and we have No man left behind rides for the newbies. Just keep riding and those legs will get stronger and you…
• Wait! Let me ask Dr Oz and see what he says......................................
• Go to FOOD-SETTINGS then you will see where you can add in to track your sugar.
• I would suggest you cut out so much (not all) cardio and focus on weight lifting. If you go to a gym they will gladly write out a plan for you but you need to lift HEAVY not 3lb weights. Also yes up the protein and calories but it is NOT necessary to eat 6x per day to get the results you want. You could easily add half a…
• A HRM is not suppose to worn all day. It only actually give you a correct reading when your HR is elevated so I would not trust the reading from it if you wear it all day. If you want something to mnoitor your daily burn then you will have to invest in a Fit Bit or Body Bugg.
• It depends on what I'm doing. If I'm cycling and wearing bike shorts then heck no! I've been there done that and it's not comfortable and beside no one sits on that seat but me. If I wear running shorts with built in panties then no but any other workout gear yes I wear panties cotton hipsters but I still sweat and look…
• Sweetheart if this was true then I would have lost all my weight my eating 700-900 per day and burning 800-2000 calories(I'm a cyclist so that is how I burn that many calories doing 50-60 mile bike rides) 6 days a week. And yes I weighed and measured everything and yes I have a HRM so I know my calories burned were…
•
i will give my universal approval...if they have visibal abs (muscles that is) and rockin' arms...ie Wild_matt
I agree!!
• I must have been sexy as hell then this morning!! You could ring the sweat out of my shirt and I happened to have on a white shirt so needles to say it was see through by the time I walked out the door.
• I'm usually talking to myself on the treadmill and it's usually not good. I'll say "Hell No you are NOT tired" "Kepp moving yo fat *kitten*" " DON'T you quit"!! I get some strange looks but hey it keeps me pushing!! LOL
• No you are not! I eat 1600-2000 calories per day. You are not meant to starve the weight off and your body will feel more comfortable losing if you feed it the food it needs. Tell your friend she/he doesn't know what they're talking about!!
• Every 3 months. I used to be a scale *kitten* (referring to myself only) and weighed in every moring but it became too obsessive because every time the scale went up I wanted to reduce my calories which is not good. So now I stick to my calories and only weigh in 4x per year!
• I do both because they both have their place in my workouts. I run 2 days a week and I do the elliptical 2 days. On the days I don't run I still need cardio but I want low impact so that's why I chose the elliptical. If you have knee, foot, ankle etc. problems then the elliptical or bike is better for you.
• The best time to work out is when you have time for it. I workout 2 mornings and 4 evenings a week. Work out when you can best fit it into your schedule.
• Since you only have a little to lose you should change your settings to lose only .5 per week. Eat the calories MFP tells you plus any exercise calories you burn. Also if you have access to a gym or some weights start lifting.
• Two days a week I go to bed at 8pm and get up at 4am. Those are my long run days!
• If your heart rate is up that high then I would think yes you could wear your HRM. I think what most people are talk about is lifting weights like bicep curls, tricep presses, bench press etc. because when you do those type of exercises you aren't really raising your HR too much so you probably won't get a correct reading…
• How about you pee in bottle and then drink it. That way what comes out goes back in and you're not losing all that valuable water!!
• I'll eat just about anything wrapped in bacon!! Yummy Turkey bacon is nasty and besides where's the bacon on a turkey??
• I personally don't subtract those calories from my burn mainly because I stop my HRM when I get off the machine and not wait until it gets back down to a certain number so I am still buning calories at a higher rate for a little while. I also try to leave at least 100 calories in case my numbers are a bit off. Some people…
• I did look back at your diary and MFP has given you 1770 caloories but you are not eating them all. Most days yu have 500-600 calories left over which is giving you a "Net" of 1000 calories or less some days. Maybe try to at least get to that 1770-1800 calorie mark everyday and that way when you exercise and burn 300-400…
