Thank you!! I am sure you will be successful :) Just stick with it. I think that's probably the hardest part -- just being patient and sticking with your healthy choices.

I noticed the same thing. I use the Runkeeper app on my phone while I'm hiking, and then I take the average of MFP and Runkeeper.

1. Adaptive pull ups are great for beginners 2. Rows 3. Lat pull downs 4. Bang out as many push ups as you can (push to failure) as often as possible 5. Protein - at least 1 gram per 1 lb of body weight 6. Advice from my husband (USMC active duty 9+ years): TIRE FLIPS! He says that tire flips are the perfect full body…

Yes! I totally agree with this :) Be realistic. I eat all of my exercise calories back, but I am on a 1200 cal/day diet (I'm under 5ft). I do not want to burn 500 calories and only eat 1200 for the day (net calories:700 calories = not okay). I think you just have to play with the calories a little to see what works for…

I definitely agree that you need to have water with you at all times -- driving, working, school, grocery shopping, doctor appointments, anywhere! For me, it is helpful to set goals throughout the day. For instance, when I had an hour drive to work I would have to finish my first water bottle by the time I arrived to work.…

Woah!! You look fantastic :) Your hard work definitely paid off!

I highly recommend you get a running partner. I do not enjoy running either. I am happy to say after a month of running 5 days a week for the past month I don't HATE it anymore. As I am getting better and feeling more confident running, I am also starting to like it a little bit more. The reason I highly recommend having a…

Okay great. Thank you!! That's what I'm afraid of seeing -- recording more calories than I'm actually burning.

I think weigh loss is a completely personal experience. Do what works for you and motivates you. For me, I need constant feedback that I'm doing well. So, I weigh myself once a week at the gym, I measure myself with the tape measure as often as I'd like, I use my clothes, and I take pictures monthly. There have been times…

I am looking for a HRM as well. Do the Polar HRMs let you input all of your stats (weight, height, gender, etc) for an accurate calorie estimate? My husband just gave me a Timex, but it doesn't let you input any stats other than weight and seems to be very inaccurate.

I have 6 that I wash after every workout. I have ones from Victoria's Secret (VSX) and Old Navy. I actually think I like the ones from Old Navy better, and they were about $40 cheaper a piece -- eek! Great selection, quality, and price at ON. :)

Please help?...

Thank you Natalie! Generally I do allow myself that one cheat meal on the weekend with a glass of wine :) I definitely find it to be helpful.

Thank you for your feedback! What you said completely makes sense. I appreciate it :)

Incredible!!!

Oh that sounds really good!!

Tons of great comments in this post!! :) One thing that I haven't seen mentioned though is water. Drink lots and lots of water!! Then drink more!! With you working out your muscles are holding water, and it might sound strange, but you need to take in water to cleanse your body of the water weight. Years ago I saw a…
