Hi, I've just done the couch to 5 k thing and so am now just consistently running but have decided to do an interval style one next. The one I chose is called weight loss pro intervals from the apple I tunes store and it still gets you up to 10 k and over but is much better for fat loss apparently. It's like a walk run…

I think the polar ones are great. I've had 2. The first one was an all singing all dancing affair, it did calories, hr, and a whole programme for weight loss. The one I have now is just standard but does hr and calories burned and distance and time. It comes with the chest strap. I guess it depends what you want it for. Is…

Ohhh so does the app suggest to you automatically to change your goals if you input your weight or do you have to do it yourself???

My goal weight has changed as I've lost weight. I'm now aiming for 65 kg, I started around 110 and am now 77. My first goal was 85 then 70 but I've changed that to 65 but think I will aim for 60 ultimately. I think it's good to change it as you go :-)))

It's been so great reading all this as its explained so much. I have lost 32 kgs just by cleaning up my diet but came to a standstill so started working out and decided to count calories too with this program. I was so confused at first and thought I could only have 1200 and then was confused on whether to eat my exercise…

So after a good read around the forums here I have reset my daily calories to 1470 and will plug in the calories I burn from my heart rate monitor and eat them back! As I said I'm a slow steady kind of girl and I also work out quite hard and need the energy. I'm quite happy not to be a 1200 girl :-) I shall let you know…

Hi I'm a bit confused with all this but I'm getting lists of answers here so that's good. I weigh 77 kilos and am 167 cm tall. I do strength training twice a week with my trainer and run about 4 times a week for 30 mins. I have a heart rate monitor so realise I can now log the calories manually and accurately. My base…

I need a cup of tea chat with arditarose! The thing is I don't want to go so low that I have to always keep low because that seems gahhhh and I want to be able to eat a reasonable amount. A question... Now I haven't used my mfp app for a while and I notice that the calories are set on 1200 and I'm not sure if I did that or…

I'm confused because when I put in my weights sessions it just has reps, sets and weight per set but just logs it with no calories burned? Am I entering it wrong? I thought maybe weights sessions just don't count as calories burned???

Also my diet is pretty good. I'm vegetarian ( the good sort) and eat a really varied diet, no dairy but I do eat eggs and occasional fish. Ive added a protein shake in the mornings. Any advice well appreciated so thanks :-)

Thanks guys for all your answers I really appreciate it. I lost 32 k initially just by cleaning up my diet but am now doing the working out too. Ido 2 strength weights sessions with my trainer a week and around 4 30 min runs I did with one of those couch to5 k apps. I am now moving on to more of an interval trainer which…

Oh and I guess it's worth mentioning that I'm trying to lose some weight. About 12 kilos to go roundabout.
