  • Some great recommendations thanks. And I'm lolling a lot at the down under bit! I'm only aussie by citizenship but it's now my home. I wonder if Aussies have less trouble with blisters though as most Aussies I know have well worn in hard skin on the soles of their feet from going barefoot as kids a lot! Maybe it's a…
  • I've done that one on a different app so thought I would try the running for weight loss one. Looks good :-)
  • I've just had a look... I think it might just do it automatically like my fitbit used to. Has anyone done the training plans on runkeeper?
  • Yay, yes I've linked it up :-) what do I have to do in settings?
  • Thanks I just ordered 3 pairs :-) gahhhh to blisters :-)
  • Awesome!!! And awesome everyone :-)
  • I don't know if you have this scheme where you live but I once rented one for 18 months or something and then paid quite a small amount to buy it. It was a gym standard one with flashy computer etc. at the time I was in an apartment so didn't know if I might move so rental seemed a good thing :-)
  • Weights session with pt and a 5 k run :)
  • Whoooopppppp you're going good :-))))
  • Ah this one always puts the cat amongst the pigeons doesn't it! I think eat what the f&$k you want. I'm vegetarian with a massive varied diet. I think people with the worst vegetarian diets are the ones that go back to meat. If your diet is fabulous you don't feel you need to. It's individual choice though. Maybe look into…
  • And I'm having a chatterbox moment but it won't go overnight. It took me 18 months to lose 32 kg with 12 to go. Enjoy the journey. It happens eventually. Your body sometimes need to work it out :-)
  • The last bit is the hardest to lose for me. Fat becomes a good friend that won't go away but with consistency it does. So many fab people here to give you advice. You will figure it out x
  • And also I think the thing that nailed it for me is never eating ANYTHING. With a barcode! Just eat natural. If it grows eat it! Eat like the Rastas! Giving up processed food works like a charm for me anyway :-)
  • Yes I have overestimated several hundred calories in the past without weighing! Who knew! Oh yes and another yoga apart from bikram makes me SAD too lol!!
  • Hi, I am a massive bikram fan. Could you get the cd, throw on a heater full blast and practice at home daily? I know it's not the same as the class but you could concentrate, meditate with your happy smily face :-) Also your calories seem low with all that working out. I think you might need more calories. You could try it…
  • Is that the one that's nearly $600... I'm swooning over that one. Actually ... Any opinions on Garmin on here? I don't know anyone who has one. I know the HRM RUN is the heart monitor to get if he's a runner ... Lucky boyfriend!
  • When I tried enmondo it didn't track things well. Didn't do the right time or distance but I have friends who were very pleased so maybe just a glitch! I might check out run keeper :-)
  • My calves are feeling a bit better today by the way! I think I will run tommorrow and take it steady and see how I go :-)
  • That's great information. Yep there's definatly a difference with weight. At 32 kg heavier it was pretty impossible to run but I'm only 12 kgs off goal weight now and I see that's made a huge difference. I also do other stuff and a fair bit of weights so I don't have to run everyday I just feel the urge! I don't think I'm…
  • Gosh there's so much to think about! So do you think 3 times a week is okay? I've been doing about 4 times a week and generally run for about 30 mins with a 5 min warm up and cool down. I'm doing an interval thing now too so get a 1 min walk too about every 7 mins. I had got up to 30 mins continuous but now changed to 8 k…
  • Follow the order ... You do think wahhhh omg 20 mins but crazily you can do it. It's all in the mind. :-))))
  • My calves hurt now :-) that's normal right? Change of running form I guess. I need a personal masseur to follow me around daily :-)
  • Yep I ordered compression sleeves too in a funky red colour... I'm such a dag :-)))
  • Thanks Sam I'm doing that too... I've done a lot of Bikram yoga in my time so I'm going to get my stretch on :-)
  • Thanks Rosie yes I have found some exercises for that and I'm going to do them :-)
  • Thanks so much I will work on it, you've been super helpful I appreciate it :-)
  • I also eat 1470 cals a day and then add on the exercise ones... I'm hungrier on exercise days so it's good :-)
  • Well I run and also lift weights and I usually eat about 3/4 of them back. This is a new thing after asking lots of questions on here. I'm happy to eat them because I'm a slow steady kind of girl and I also want to maintain the bit of muscle I'm building. Oh and I lost weight this week doing that ( I had come to a bit of a…
  • Yay! I love this programme. I couldn't run for 20 seconds when I started hardly but completed it and am now on to 8 k training ..whoop... Keep going... You are a runner :D
