Whooooppppp!!!! You are awesome!!! I just completed the programme ( I used get running) about a week ago. I can now run for 30 mins straight and get to about 4.6km. When I started I couldn't run for 20 seconds!!! It works I promise. I'm now doing 8 k training. You can so do it. One caveat... When you get good don't try to…

Fantastic! This is just what I needed to read today. I have slight right shin pain today... I just last week upped my distance and pace!!! That explains it then. I'm gonna slow it down but I just want to run every day! Great post :-)

Thank you so much. I shall have a look. I think I am a heel striker! I shall investigate running forms. I've also noticed I tend to get more problems on the right of my body too. Thanks again :-)

Anyone? :-)

I like it loud!! I'm hoping that on the day the atmosphere just carries me along so I will probaly just go with the no headphone thing :-) thanks for your replies :-)
-
Thanks. I think I'm just worried because my music really carries me along at the moment and 10 k see,s like a long way

You can leave a mirina in place for 10 years if you're not using it for birth control actually. Generally though it's worth replacing after 6 or 7 as the hormones will decrease. Not everyone uses it for birth control. They may just be using it for heavy troublesome periods. There's a lot of controversy over mirina! I don't…

Lol! I'm so going to have a beer when I finish mine in March! I've got plenty of time to train but I'm still thinking wahhhhhhhhh will I make it when I come to it! Good luck, I'm sure you will do just fine and be awesome :-)
-
LOL!!! I get you there, I work medical too and no underwear is often a thing!! :-)
-
But wahhh... Does it play your spotify in the background or just I tunes??
-
Fantastic :-)
-
Beautiful girl!!! You should be soooo proud x
-
Omg I'm getting this!!!
-
You can do it!!! I think 1700 cals is a fabulous plan. Consistency is the key I reckon. Don't give up you are going to be so proud of yourself :-)
-
Gosh I wanted to pick you up and take you straight to emergency when I read this!!! But the above explanation seems to explain it!!! Eeeeeek !
-
Oh feel free to add me anyone... I still haven't worked out how to request friends on here! Can anyone tell me :-) I'm not techy either!!
-
Aha great question because I've just been thinking about this too! I went running this morning and on my HRM I burned 333 cals. On the fit bit calculation it was like 317 so very similar.so I was thinking ahhhh shall I just go with the fitbit then and not bother logging my HRM ones as they were so similar? I think I will…
-
Yes it so overestimates eh! So yes I don't use mfp suggestions I just plug it in directly from what is on my hrm and don't count weight sessions. That seems to work well for me. Well done on that weight loss :-))
-
I reckon up your calories!!! And then you can fit in a choccy bar a day if you really want it. 1200 I've discovered is too low if you want to keep your weight off forever. There's heaps of threads on here about that and I had no idea!! I was like huh!!! I thought it was always like 1200 to lose weight but not so! I reckon…

Thanks guys for that input. Yes I'm lifting weights with my trainer. He's the big beefy bodybuilder type and reckons EAT! so yep I am eating the 1470 a day plus most of the excersise calories though I seem to often have around 200 left over but I reckon that works for any slight errors in calories. I'm already seeing the…

Take the break days, follow it consistently, never give up, slow down but do not stop, get a great pumping playlist and just do it :-)
-
Oooohhhhh just go out and do it. I've just finished the programme and I thought there was no way I could ever do it when I started!!! You can so do it!!! :-))))))
-
Hi sounds like you have been doing so well. I have noticed that mfp estimates for calories burned during exercise are grossly exaggerated! Do you use a heart rate monitor to know its 600 cals or are you going off the mfp estimates? That might be the problem. Keep going with it all and good luck :-)
-
Hmmm it's a toughie... I work shifts so if I have 2 12 hour days in a row I don't exercise for that 48 hrs but I can go on the morning of my 12 hr night and all the days off inbetween.if you work 5 days a week why don't you leave 30 mins earlier and park 30 mins away from work and walk or jog it... Or do you get an hour…
-
Oh I think it's when you go out of your target heart rate zone. But it can be switched off. I reckon those chest straps will fit you
-
And yep you probaly want to up your calories. So having an accurate heart rate monitor would be the bomb for you. For what I've read the most accurate are the ones with a chest strap
-
No they only come as chest straps but they go pretty big and are elasticated too. There might be some specs on the polar site to what they fit. When I had my first one I was around 110 kgs and it fitted me so I reckon would be ok, there was room to spare! I don't bother using it for weights sessions as it would annoy me…
-
Yay sounds like you're doing great. I wonder if it would be good to cut that excersise time down to 45 mins and then do a couple of weights sessions with a trainer each week too. I only say that because once before I went all gung ho and was spending long sessions in the gym so ended up tired out and fed up. I think you're…
