I say I'm fat and I know I'm not....I now add - "I know I'm not fat - but I feeeel fat" so anyone within earshot doesn't get bent out shape. Fat is how I feel sometimes whether it's my IBS, or bloating or just feeling flabby rather than tight....I don't want attention or compliments....I figure it's less worrisome than…

You have to fill it in with muscle....squats, squats, squats.....and then more squats!

I'm terrible with titles but anything by Stephen King or John Irving. I will second Gone Girl - it was a great read. The Outlander series is awesome (Diana Gabaldon)....so many books to read....

I follow this method of eating but not as a weight loss method - it just suits my personal lifestyle. If you want to lose weight it's calories in/calories out - no matter when you eat them.

thanks skippygirlsmom, I love my tattoo as well :) As for maintaining, I find it easier as the years go by. I know what I love (to eat) and make sure it all fits in. I only started tracking on this app about a year ago out of curiosity and I find it very informative and helpful. I hate to admit that it gets tougher as you…

I'm 5'6" and have maintained my weight loss for 7 years - I will be 51 next month. I started at 188 and lost about 50 lbs in about 3 months (I was not using MFP and did not count calories). I currently eat about 1450 cals a day (based on TDEE and my own experience). I don't factor working out in any fashion because I…

You must be Canadian if you're doing 120K.! and... I hate people who brake for no reason whatsoever. People who ride up your butt - I don't get it - why??? People who straddle the lane with their heads out the window like a dog seeing if there is an opportunity to pass in bumper to bumper traffic. I could go on and on.....

The best investment I ever made was buying powerblock adjustable dumbells - worth every penny.

that made my day - some people are hilarious!

I don't know if this fits but I was at a party and a few of the women there were on the heavy side and extremely apple shaped and they began discussing how they park in the spots reserved for expectant mothers because they can get away with it. It left me speechless....

I can be brutally honest and make you feel good at the same time. It's a gift. oh - and I AM CANADIAN!

take a week off and eat at maintenance. Renew yourself. Think about how much you have accomplished. Relax. Begin anew.

I use refried beans and salsa mixed as a base for my pizza - and feta or gaot cheese sprinkled on as a topping (with whatever else). it's awesome. Pizza is deathrow food.

None of this makes sense. There is no 5:3. There are 8 hours in 7-3, not 6. What you are talking about is called 16/8 - a version of IF. You should be focused on eating the proper amount of calories during your 8 hour eating period - not limiting the calories for each meal. it's hard to eat multiple meals within an 8 hour…

As someone who has lost 50 lbs (in my 40's) and maintained for over 6 years..currently 50 and in the best shape of my life I think I can tell you that you will grow to love your new body, your renewed health, the general optimism that comes from being the best that you can be. It eventually becomes less about a number on…

You posted the same question in February......

I work a 16/8 plan - I only eat between 12pm and 8pm. It works well for me as I am not contantly thinking about my next meal/snack...I have a good lunch and good dinner and dessert after each. I rarely go over my net unless I plan to.

the most awesome wrap is roasted sweet potato with carmelized red onion and goat cheese...in a tortilla or a pita...or a bowl if you don't want bread. Roasting veg makes them taste completely different and I think more filling too.

Finally looking like spring is starting here in Ontario....still can't see past the snowbanks tho....

hopefully villagers don't run me off this forum with pitch forks  if not in your 50's then when?

Cadbury mini eggs are the bomb. I just bought 2 1.2kg bags from Costco......

50 years old, 5'6" and 141 - size 4-6. I don't monitor my weight anymore (meaning I don't use it as my main measurment of success) - I think more about body composition and muscle vs fat. I think trying to reach a certain weight can be counter productive.

what are you doing to burn that many calories in exercise?

The comments are all so interesting. I work with law enforcement and tattoos are huge - both male and female alike. Lots of full sleeves, wrists, very visible. I totally get that they may not be acceptable everywhere and would never take that personally - unless someone is judging my character - that's just small minded.

Turf the Nature Valley Granola bar - unless you really love them - there are so many better things to eat with those calories...

ruffles sour cream and onion chips and these forums...appropriately I am partaking of both at the moment.

Because after some really sh*tty events in my life I finally wanted to make me happy...it worked
