...I'm sorry but it's really bugging me..it's BAKER St. thank you.

I'm still working as usual and won't be quarantined unless (until?) I actually get Covid-19. The traffic during my commute is much lighter so that is less stressful. I have a home gym so working out is the same as well...

You could probably weigh 135 already...unless you weighed naked, first thing in the morning after going potty at the Dr's....
-
Did you weigh under identical circumstances on the same scale in the same location?
-
I can't believe nobody has mentioned that 1500 is the bare minimum for a male and at your weight you could eat considerably more.
-
100% agree...which is why these either/or comparisons are so silly. Knowledge of the energy component of food is a game changer.

...and in reality there is a large portion of the population having the steak, potato, broccoli AND the chocolate cake and not giving it a second thought.

And some Caesar mix to go with your vodka eh

The difference is accuracy regardless of whether the serving size is bigger or smaller. Weighing will always be more accurate. Try your experiment with cereal or peanut butter and you'll see the value in weighing over measuring with cups and spoons.

what do you get if you are successful? Anything more than your money back?

The Mayo Clinic calculator assumes unlimited fruits and vegetables and error in logging - this is why they give lower calorie goals....

wow...I can go 7-10 days without a bm...usually it's once a week if I work at it. IBS-C to blame and no amount of dietary changes help. I do have a squatty potty and that has helped take the edge off....I am so envious of anyone that goes regularly.

Still true in 2018....

Running away from over zealous admirers just adds to my calorie burn

You can use an entry from the food database that looks like it best matches what you ate...and to assist the proper spelling is donair..there are lots of different variations in the database. it's impossible for anyone to guess as we don't know the size of either item you ate. I would guess 1000 cals total being…

Unless you are weighing that cereal I bet you are eating more than 1 or 2 servings. Cereal is a calorie bomb and hard to measure correctly....
-
my 2 favourites are: 2 pcs light rye (toasted or not), 100cal wholly guacamole pack, fresh tomato slices and spicy pickle. 1 whole egg, 1/2 cup egg whites, 1 laughing cow cheese wedge - microwave till done both are filling and versatile...you can add more or less to either with low cal toppings or seasonings.

they are clear....no white or streaking or anything...and they last a long time and are a great deal!
-
I buy mine from Costco and they smell like nothing...no scent...and last forever in the fridge.

Don't try and reinvent the wheel. All you are doing is eating less and possibly moving more. Yes, it's harder for some than others but it's still just food and eating. It doesn't have to be a complicated process.

To lose weight all you have to do is eat smaller portions...it doesn't have to be this big ordeal. There are a lot of ways to create a deficit and lots of opinions on how to get there but the bottom line is: eat less. Be conscious of the calorie dense foods and those you are most likely to over indulge in. Keep it simple.

If you aren't losing weight - it's not WHAT you are eating, it's HOW MUCH you are eating.

I commute an hour to work each day, driving. I think a lot of people put in that kind of time. If I could walk to work in that time I would definitely do it. You've found a way to incorporate activity into your daily life. I'm jealous that you can do that, I don't resent the fact that you do. Yay you!

Cheecha Puffs....they are awesome. Costco was selling them on a monthly basis before but not lately...found out that you can get them at Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond and some health food stores (smaller bags and more cost) but...they are an awesome lower calorie chip replacement. (I'm in Barrie, ON for context) and Wholly…

I make a egg cup in the microwave...1 whole egg, 1/2 cup egg whites (or more if you wish) and a laughing cow cheese...microwave between 1-2 minutes. I throw red pepper flakes and other spices in there and it is delicious, low cal, high protein and the texture is nice and fluffy.
-
I always add a whole egg to egg whites...otherwise they smell weird to me....eggs are awesome.

Oxygen Magazine is good. And, thankfully, the latest issue has them finally letting go of all the bro-science they usually spout about meal timing and calories not being equal (as in a unit of energy) etc....I didn't twitch once reading it.

I just saw the link to the recipe...doh

do you toast raw quinoa? in a pan or oven? can you tell I don't cook...?

I always think of those situations in this way, while you may be a bit "fuller" on the outside, those girls are empty on the inside. I detest bullies but I also feel sorry for them.
