Long and rambling

Ok, let me ramble I am so out of control and unmotivated. ..and busy..busy is the least of it, more of an excuse, I know many people much busier than me who have managed to not gain 30 lbs in 5 months...
Back story....up down up down up down up basically sums it up. Got a new puppy a couple weeks ago, forgot how much work one is. I think it's really just like if not more time consuming than a newborn! (I was REALLY lucky with my boys, both sleeping through night by 5 wks old)..puppy , not so much..he is 10 weeks and does pretty good..bed at 10 up at 12 and then he usually can make it until I get up at 4 to get ready for work. I am working with him to get used to a leash, and once he gets his 2nd round of shots we can go walking. Right now though between being gone 14 hours a day for work ( he is not alone that whole time, my husband only works 8 and my son is on summer break) and then dinner, laundry and working with the puppy, and game time with my son, I really have a small window of time "for me".
I am an all or nothing gal, when I do this. I DO this. Everything is logged, in multiple places, exercise is very consistent and meals are prepped weighed and portioned I am a machine so to speak. And I lose weight, and a lot of it.
My problem is not knowing how to do it, and how to do it healthy, my problem is feeling guilty for spending so much time on "me" and then I falter and gain it all back. And I hate that because I work so hard...I feel like crap both physically and mentally, because of the weight gain, and the set back I have every time..and every time I say " I'm not going to stop because I feel "guilty" and then stopping again.
After work today I have 3 days off and I am going to use that time for me..to "restart" for lack of better words this journey ...again.
Sorry for the ramble !

Hello lovely.
You are a busy mum. ( Take a deep breath).
It is okay to fall over. You are human. Forgive yourself.
Life doesn't come on nice neat packages. It's messy, chaotic and challenging.
It is important to remember you can't do everything.
Maybe start by doing one thing at a time. Planning some nourishing meals in advance on your days off would be a good start.
We all slip up. It is important to just keep going.
I am happy to support you in this journey.
I am a very good listener.2 -
Thank you, I failed to mention on top of that I have my grandkids alot, and I am like a 50s house wife, I do it all..I do make my son do chores, but generally redo them myself lol my husband takes care of the cars and yard, I have a hard time accepting help, he does offer to help fold laundry or clean, but I usually tell him no, so a lot of everything that is piled on me is my own fault, but it is how I was raised (dammit mom) lol...I will break out of thus rut, I always do, the trick is not letting myself get BACK in it0

To lose weight all you have to do is eat smaller portions...it doesn't have to be this big ordeal. There are a lot of ways to create a deficit and lots of opinions on how to get there but the bottom line is: eat less. Be conscious of the calorie dense foods and those you are most likely to over indulge in. Keep it simple.1

Make time for yourself. Play with those grandkids, thats a workout program right there.
