Weight loss is a slow process. You have two options. 1. Give up and stay at this weight forever (or more likely, gain more). 2. Continue your efforts. You'll get to your goal eventually. Every day you stay committed you're a day closer to your goal.

I only had about 14 pounds to lose (currently 7 pounds down), so not really that much and I started to notice a difference about 5 pounds down. My thighs don't touch as much anymore, and my upper body seems a bit smaller.
-
You have two choices. Continue as you are, feeling miserable. Or recommit and take a step back in the right direction.

Awesome, I'll add you :)

wish they'd rotate their picture

I eat the vast majority of my calories at dinner. Having something really substantial for dinner means I don't get hungry at night, even if I stay up to 3am.
-
I much prefer eating once or twice a day, being able to eat substantial meals each time, rather than lots of smaller meals. I find that If I eat eat smaller meals more frequently I'm ravenous all day.
-
I ate a lot and didn't worry about tracking. Now that the water weight is dropping off I think I gained 2-3 pounds over the festive period through to new year. No big deal. Just means it's an extra couple of weeks until I hit my goal :)

Just because there are worse things out there doesn't mean you can't express your dislike for something. You wouldn't tell someone who was happy about something that they're not allowed to feel happy because other people have it better. Same logic applies. Chill. If threads about them bother you so much, just avoid them.

Hateeeeee it. Hate the fact it means I'm bloated for ~half of the month and PMS puts me in a pretty bad mental place.

Aiming to lose 10lbs! Hoping to get there by the end of March at the latest :)

5'6" currently ~122lbs, shooting for 115lbs. Small frame.

That's insane. Well done - so inspiring!

Waking up knowing that I'm a little bit closer to my goal every day motivates me, and feeling it when I look in the mirror and in how my clothes fit.

Everybody's unique. Just like everyone else.

Red's such a nice colour. I need to invest in more red clothes.

Hey, I've read around online quite a lot about social anxiety. For a lot of people it can have a sudden onset like you described, and for others (like me) it's just always been an issue. Good luck getting over it! I hope we both manage to.
-
That's my current coping strategy for parties. But since I don't particularly want to go down the road of day time drinking, it's not a good solution for 90% of social interactions.
-
Haha sounds like the perfect solution :p Yeah, I might see my GP about it. Yeah, I wouldn't want to go down the medication route. I feel like it doesn't actually solve the problem. Plus I couldn't be dealing with any side effects from them.
-
Hahaha it's worth a shot.

I guess you're right. I think I might go and see a different doctor at some point in the new year. At the moment my main coping mechanism in lots of social situations is to get drunk. I feel like that's the only time really don't feel anxious around others (excluding family and best friends). I don't want for that to be…
-
The problem is that I already know they don't care though. I've known it for years. But no matter how long I spend rationalising it in my head, it doesn't reduce the anxiety I feel when I'm actually in social situations.
-
Hey! I'm really sorry to hear that you struggle with all of this! I think I'm similar to you. Being insignificant is a reassurance to me. I know a lot of people who find it distressing though. I've been to a doctor before about it and they just gave me a self-help booklet, which hasn't really helped. I'm reluctant to go…

Thanks for the reply! I really like that perspective. It's so true. I feel like for years I've been trying to give zero f***s though but it's so tough. I can't just switch off how anxious I automatically feel. I feel like by actively trying not to give a f*** I'm already giving too much of a f***.
-
Thanks for the reply! I appreciate it! I spend a lot of time thinking about how insignificant everything is like that, and trying to put things into perspective. But no matter how much I rationalise it to myself, I can't change the anxiety I feel when I'm actually in social situations. Maybe it is just a case of exposure…
-
If you can't moderate your intake of it, I agree that the best solution for the time being is to cut it out completely.

I find not eating breakfast and only eating lunch at midday or later makes me MUCH LESS hungry than when I eat breakfast. Once I eat something, it sets off my hunger for the whole day. Might be something to try out if you're not having luck with anything else.
