I think that's too much sugar when trying to lose weight plus fruits are high in carbs. You may want to switch to berries. I have heard that when you eat a fruit like an apple, it's best to eat it with some protein such as peanut butter.

Robert, I see that your approach is low carb. How low is low for you? I know it depends on a lot of things but I just want an idea. I will be doing the South Beach Eating Plan starting Monday and in planning my menus, it seems pretty hard to keep my carbs under 100. My problem with protein is that it's alway high. Thanks…

I don't think Protein is an issue for most people. It's in practically in everything we eat and we don't need that much Protein. I am a vegetariam and my problem is having too much Protein in my diet, not too little.

Have you tried the unsweetened almond milk? Only 35 calories per seving and 0 sugar.

I am in. my weight this morning was 147. I am doing strength training 3 days a week but still would like to see 5 lbs gone but 4/30.

How is your weight loss going? Are you losing weight steadly? If you are, then you are probably doing everything right. I am no expert but I have heard that if your net calories for the day go under 1200 for too long, your body will go into starvation mode and it will be harder to lose the weight.
