I have 5 meals throughout the day. I have a decent sized breakfast (usually oatmeal, cause it keeps me full longer), at about 250 calories, then a 100 calorie snack at around 10:30. For lunch, I have a bigger meal (350 or so), then another snack at around 3:30 (almonds, fruit, cheese, yogurt, or a combination thereof), and…

My coworker did something like that to me a couple of times. I have a terrible sugar addiction and find it nearly impossible to turn down sweets. So I gave explicit instructions not to even offer them to me because it was difficult for me to say no (especially when I started... now it's a lot easier). My coworker had a box…

I store most of my fat in my thighs and hips, so even back when I lost 35 lbs several years ago, and then gained back about 20, my cup size has never changed. But your body might work differently.

I have the same issue! My hips are 41" and my waist is about 30.5". So annoying!

I have a medium frame, so I've set it somewhere towards the upper end of my healthy weight (which is about -10 lbs.). I figure once I get there, I'll see how I feel and if I should try to keep going. I used to be 135 lbs at my thinnest, which is -17 lbs from where I am now and I was very comfortable with that weight, so I…

Don't weight yourself during that time. I put on like 2-3lbs too, so I just decided not to weigh myself that whole week. Better for my sanity.

I'm on Ortho Tri Cyclen (switched to it from Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, which wasn't enough to control my irregular periods) and it's been really good. I asked my doctor about weight gain when she prescribed it and she said it wasn't likely I would *gain* weight, but it was possible I might have trouble losing it. Which has been…

Whoa, I have the exact same issue and I never thought research it. I do have a really high arch, but I've never associated it with the numbness. I figured I was overcompensating somehow by putting all my weight on my right side. If anyone has any suggestions to UT_Nut7's post, I'd love to hear them as well!

Soda, definitely. Not that I used to drink it regularly before, but now when I try it, I find it way disgustingly sweet. I'm glad I don't like it anymore, because talk about empty calories!

I agree!! Looking at calories and sugar content (sometimes sodium content) in a meal can suddenly make me find it absolutely disgusting.

I know of some people who don't say anything for fear of sounding insensitive. For example, I have a friend who doesn't like it when people point out how good she looks after losing weight because to her, it implies she looked terrible before (which may or may not be true). Also, it's hard to notice when you see someone…

I second the suggestion for Crystal Light to get yourself to drink water. Crystal Light doesn't have sugar and only 5 calories per serving (which I believe is about 8 oz). Much healthier than soda! What I do is make a whole batch of it as per the directions on the package. Then I pour about 4 or 6 oz in my 20 oz water…

I'm also 5'2" (or 5'2.5") and when I was lightest during my adult life, I was ranging between 125-135 lbs. So my current goal is about 135. I haven't done the frame test in a while, but I remember being either medium or large frame. I carry most of my weight around my hips and thighs (thanks to my Hispanic heritage!), and…
