I have lost 98 pounds in 10 months without surgery. I started out at 294 and am currently 196. Last October I was referred to a Bariatric Clinic. I was required to follow a 6 month program before I would even be recommended for surgery. Well, I started logging every day on MFP and exercising. I started to lose weight and…

Fantastic! Congratulations on your success!

Actually, I had a mini DQ Rolo Blizzard. Also, I bought a great new dress that shows off some of the curves that have been hiding. MFP has been my constant companion and motivator. I have logged in every day since I joined.

I am 53 and 5 ft 2.5 in tall. I try to stay under 1540 calories a day and have logged in every day, keeping me accountable. I usually spend 40 minutes on the treadmill 6 days a week. I had been doing some weight and strength training until I aggravated a recent bout of tendinitis. I had been setting mini goals for myself…

Damn straight! It has been a tough journey and a lot of hard work to lose the weight. I am very proud of what I have accomplished. If someone would have asked me 10 months ago if I thought this was possible, I would have never believed it. Congratulations on your successes. Keep up the good work!

So people will see the real me, not just the fat. I do not want to be invisible anymore. Also, I love clothes!!

Perhaps because there are far too many judgmental people on this list and this journey can be difficult enough without demeaning comments, just my humble opinion.

Enough! I thought that MFP was here to encourage not to bash other's choices. I prefer my treadmill because 1) the only time I can work out is at 10:00 pm, 2) I live where we still have snow 3) I have asthma and allergies and can control the environment in my home. 4) I also do other exercises to augment the treadmill.…

I'll be 53 tomorrow...it is definitely attainable. I started on November 1, 2012 and to date I have lost 68 pounds. I owe it to MFP. I log faithfully everyday and exercise 60 minutes 6 days a week. Add me as a friend if you like. Remember, focus on small goals (10 or 20 pounds at a time) and eventually you will reach the…

- First of all, to be healthy and live a long, happy life. (Heart disease, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure history in my family) - I have been fat all of my life and am tired of how the "normal" world perceives and treats fat people. I want people to see me for who I am instead of only looking at my size and…

As someone who milked cows a long, long time ago you do not get blood in the last bit of milk. Besides, almost all milking is done by machine now and it is all collected in the same containers. I think someone is pulling your leg...

Just take one day at a time, one pound at a time. Remember every journey begins with one step. Keep the faith!

I feel your pain! I have had thunder thighs even before my weight became the issue. I'm not sure what the solution is, but if someone out there has the answer, please share!
