hey everyone. I have been lurking here a bit but not posting because my workouts have been pretty much non-existent. At least reading these threads keeps me motivated to keep going! I started Basic Training 4 last week so I am excited about moving on to the next levels of supercharged and having lower reps. Currently my…

Thanks for the link bepee, that looks awesome. Brought a smile to my day!

I started BT3 on Monday and my abs are aching today! Which is unfortunate because I have a cough and every time I cough I am in agony! Ah well, workout B tonight should help with that... Dawn, you continue to amaze me with your numbers. I am enjoying supercharged but I can't wait to get back into some HEAVY lifting! I have…

Haha, no not pregnant (although that wouldn't be a terrible thing to happen), just had a nasty bug. Hopefully next week I can keep to my calories without such extreme measures!!
-
Jo, your goals are like mine. I really want visible abs and to be able to do pull ups. Although I'm not convinced that I will ever get there. I think being tall is a disadvantage for doing pull ups and chin ups because I am heavier than shorter people and so have more weight to pull. At least that is my excuse and I am…

Dawn, you are doing great! I gave up on eating at a deficit last week because I was hungry all the time and didn't have the will power to try to stick to it. I weighed in this morning and I was down 1 pound. It's probably because I was vomiting all night on Sunday and not eating on Monday but I'm still going to take it as…

Dawn, your numbers amaze me! I wish I could lift that heavy. I am definitely doing 5x5 if I ever finish supercharged because I want to lift heavy!! I skimmed through all the posts and can't remember who said what. Whoever is going to Maui, I am so jealous! I almost went crazy on Sunday and booked a holiday to Cuba but then…

Love, maybe its just that I have forgotten the pain of it! Those lunges did kill me but I loved how I felt afterwards.

Haha, no I wasn't in Melbourne Dna, is that the spot where all the rain falls? I was travelling up the east coast during the floods in January 2011 (I think). We got stranded in Noosa for a week because all of the roads out of there were flooded. I still had a great time though. And I love that you call me DrDou!…

I only managed to lift twice last week. I had planned on going to the gym on Saturday morning but I woke up feeling like I had low blood pressure so I stayed home and ate instead. I did get a run in yesterday but then today I missed the gym again as I had to go to a funeral after work. And tomorrow is looking dodgy too.…

wow, I haven't been on here in ages! I started a new job on Monday so have been really busy with not much time to work out. And because I am sitting at a desk all day I am hungry all the time! I think I was over on my calories every day this week. Ugh. Thanks for the advice on the WHTs. I will check out the links and ask…

That's wonderful news. Congratulations Bennett! This is a stupid question but does RN stand for nursing? I made it out the door to the gym this evening. And there were people everywhere!! It's normally so quite in my gym so I really didn't like it. When I laid out my mat to do some warm ups at the start a girl walked…

barbell, that is awesome. i would love to do something like that. Red, I am with everyone else, show us some pics! JL, its completely normal that the adjustment is difficult. You both have your own routines which need to be changed. Just keep talking to each other and before you know it your new routine will have…

Jo, you stole my description of Jamaica, you look absolutely stunning! Congratulations on getting through the big day and welcome back! I haven't logged anything in 2 weeks. I also have done barely any exercise. I am dreading weighing myself tomorrow. The plan is to get back to the gym tomorrow but I am still fighting off…

I'm definitely in. Not sure what my goals are though... I need to drop some weight but not sure what I am at at the minute since I am away from home and my scales but I am definitely up from the last week. I think I would like to lose 6lbs in 12 weeks and some body fat. I also want to lose inches so I think I will aim for…

I also ate way too much jo, but for me it was mostly turkey, ham, and potatoes. I still feel full this morning! I hope everyone had a lovely christmas. I had a great day. got spoiled rotten and got to spend hours playing with very excited nieces and nephews so that was lots of fun, but also exhausting. I think I am going…

I think I lost about half an inch which isn't too bad considering how much I have been eating. I am definitely up for a new challenge.

Hey everyone. Just a quick check in while taking a break from visiting family and eating and drinking everything around me. I haven't been to the gym in ages, just haven't had time. I did manage to go for a run today but I don't think it was enough to make up for all the food. Ugh, I am afraid to see how much I will gain…

Congratulations pmag. 75kg deadlift is amazing! Did you get pictures?

Ali, i think I agree with Jo. its a difficult one though. Maybe speak to your sister about it again and tell her how you feel but at the end of the day it's not your place to parent your nephew. Julie, I know how you feel about not knowing what to do next. I bought the Supercharged book on the spur of the moment and that…

I agree with this. Julie, you look amazing!! I wish I could see results like those. ellie, are there different types of palpitations? I don't know. When I was sick a couple of years ago I had lots of EEGs done so i know that my heart is healthy. Bepee, i do think it is related to breathing somehow. Its almost like I breath…

I love this. I always feel a bit sheepish telling people I lift a) because I am still relatively new to it and very weak, and b) because I expect to have that reaction of 'what?? women shouldn't lift weights!!' so I can totally relate.

Ok now I have time to read how everyone is getting on. Pudding, i hope you have beaten that cold and are feeling better. How did you find BT3? sam, that is an awesome compliment. I can't wait to get onto the later stages of supercharged and feel like a badass lifter again! Phoenix, I loved all the one-legged moves…

And also, responding to everyone's posts now just counts as exercise procrastination so I will read and respond later!

Ugh, i think I am going to have to start going to the gym in the morning. its cold and dark out and I really really don't want to change into my gym gear and leave the house. I miss summertime!
-
Oh I remember the pain of those lunges in stage 7 Julie, I never made it above 15 reps with them and afterwards i would almost fall off the step. They were hard! But afterwards, so were my quads! I was so sure that this week would be the week when I get in 3 lifting sessions again but I woke up on Wednesday…

This is not going well for me. Low protein and high calories mixed with very little exercise means that the scale is moving in the wrong direction. I finished basic training 1 yesterday so tomorrow morning I am going to take measurements but I'm not too hopeful.
-
Hey guys, I am still here. I have been checking in but have just been too busy to reply to everyone. Yesterday I finished basic training 1 so starting BT2 tomorrow. I haven't been great with my lifting lately, last week I only managed to lift once! And I have been eating far too much. When I weighed myself on Sunday…

Elsie, congratulations on the weight loss challenge! let us know how you get on with strong lifts. I had considered doing that but I went for supercharged instead. i might do it afterwards. Love, I can't remember what I did for the split squats but 105 seems huge! Go you!! I think I would be aching after that too! dna, it…

Damn, I need to check in here more often. There are far too many people to respond to! I found the whole healthcare talk very interesting. My perception of healthcare in the US is that it is very unequal and that the poor suffer as a result. I am in love with the system in the UK where I was when I was diagnosed with my…
