There is also the option of soaking the oats in the refrigerator for cold-cooked oatmeal. There are several recipes on the web. Just google cold cooked oatmeal. And if you want your oatmeal to be warm, you just microwave it for a minute or two. :) I have done it many times myself and it is pretty good.
