I'm 5'9.5 and about 174lbs. Goal is to loose about 40-50 lbs

Try to fit in exercises to your day. For example: squats while waiting for something to load or kettle to boil at home, marching on the spot while brushing your teeth, standing while watching TV... and there are millions of exercises to be found online. good luck :)
