in both cases they're only there as a estimate. The only true way to find your calorie burn is to use a heart rate monitor and then enter the information into a heart rate calorie burn converter after your session.

I've just started and completed my first day of Power 90. I've tried p90x myself in the past and failed miserably. Power 90 is a perfect basic fitness start for me :) best of luck with it :)
