I am trying for a sub 30 5k in October so I will definitely be running more. I am in!

Walk the course first so you have an idea of where you are going. When you line up at the start, if you are new to running, you should get in the back of the line so the quicker people don't run you over. Drink plenty of water the day before and eat a good breakfast about 2 hours before the race starts.

This is something that occurred in the previous version also, after I make an entry and close the app the icon stays up at the top of my home screen saying 'syncing' and will not go away until I open the app again. This did not happen on my Droid X but is now happening on my Galaxy 3

I see a lot of women wear makeup in the gym. I go at lunch and a lot of people are taking a break from work so I don't think twice about it. What drives me nuts is someone who douses themselves in perfume and then goes to the gym. It makes it hard to run on the treadmill and breathe in all that.

I add it as strength training since there are weights involved. When I do it I start with the 30 day shred and then finish the other 35 minutes on the treadmill at 3.5 with some sort of incline. Last time I did that it was about 660 calories. I know because I was wearing a HRM. Some say the average is about 250 calories.

Not all councils sell right after New Years. There are some that sell in the fall. You can still give to the scouts and not take cookies. We have a donation program. Any boxes bought and donated will go to our local soup kitchen and a women's shelter. You could also just give money as that stays with the troop 100%. I am a…

If she is military she does not have to go by the scale. My husband was in the Navy for 20 years and the last 10 years he failed the weigh in every 6 months. He would have to be measured. He would pass then. My sister was over 200 pounds and retired as a Chief in the Navy. Again, she would fail the weigh in but pass the…

I quit 5 years ago. I was 35 years old and had an asthma attack they couldn't get under control. They put me in a medically induced coma and placed me on a ventilator. A day later I was brought out of the coma and started a long road of recovery. At the time I had a 6 year old daughter and the last thing I told my husband…

I smoked for almost 20 years. I ended up in the hospital on a ventilator to jump start my smoke free life. It was hard because so many around me smoked and still do. I had to remove myself from people for a while to get past the cravings but can now hang out with them. Although the smell gets me now and I don't care to be…

My Boobs went first. My hips and thighs seem to stay the same.

I was curious how many calories my workouts were with my trainer and the ones in the MFP database seemed to calculate a little low. The last workout with my trainer I wore my heart rate monitor and found I was burning over 200 more than what I thought! That is the only way I can think to get a true count of what you are…

I try not to eat a lot of carbs after lunch. I do try to cut myself off after 8pm on most nights. On nights I am going out I try to watch what I eat through the day and keep my calories in check.

My husband did it a while ago. He did fine for 4 days and then it started to get to him. Eventually he had to go back to eating again. It just didn't work for him. There are times I will swap out a meal for juice or a smoothie but never more than one a day. Just a preference.

Not being able to wear my wedding rings. They belonged to my grandparents who were married for 65 years before my Grandfather died.

I didn't lose but at least I didn't gain. I have also been working out at home since my gym is near my work which is an hour away. I haven't been doing the strength training that I usually do

You can add me if you want

I use both. Since I am trying to work up to a half marathon the HRM helps me stay in a zone for longer endurance. The FitBit is used to track all my other activity.

Have you tried Toys for tots? You are the reason they exist. They can help you get something for the kids. My mother was a single parent with three kids who also had very little for holidays. Looking back I can see that the items that we did get were second hand. But what I remember most about those days are the traditions…

There is a place near my office that all they sell is Pho soup. It is cash only and you always have to wait to get a table but it is well worth it. It is very good.

I am about the same size and working with a personal trainer. He has me doing a mix of cardio and weight lifting. In addition to core exercises. I would hope as a personal trainer he would know what not to do. I would not go real heavy until you are used to it but I have been doing these workouts for a few weeks now. It…
