As far as I can tell, this is a personal preference item. The starting weight just gives you a feel for your progress as displayed on your home page and in reports.

How about this: Run with the dog in the AM. Have your husband walk the dogs and make dinner in the evenings on alternate nights. That allows you to get to the gym every other night during the week and on weekends
