Ran 2.5 miles Saturday outside. I realized how much I really missed that after going to the gym for two weeks! Total for the month is 31 miles.

My life almost mirrors yours...with my husband for 24 years, married almost 21. I weighed around 105 pounds in highschool when we met. With each of my 4 pregnancies I gained to around 200+ pounds. I spent most of my 20's in the 160-180 pound range in between having three of the four kids. I've spent the last 6 years are so…

3 miles on the treadmill this morning before work...total for month 28.47 miles

Another 4 miles on the elliptical. Total for month--25.4 miles--half way

i love it!! I finally talked a friend the other day into walking the trail I usually do so that he could possibly meet people. He told me later that he thought people were avoiding eye contact with him. I told him no, that I said hi, smiled, or at least raised my hand to wave to everyone who passed. Maybe try to be…

2.75 miles today on the dreadmill--Total for month: 21.47 miles.

I have the same problem! I hate those little hairs sticking to my face. When I was running outside, I would wear a sunvisor even if it wasn't sunny since it had a terry cloth liner to keep the sweat out of my face (why can't sweat bands come back into fashion?) and it would keep all the little hairs off my face. My…

3.06 miles yesterday and another 4.16 miles today on the elliptical. If it's okay, I'm still counting this as running; the machine says that I averaged 10:54 min/miles. Is that okay? If not, then I'll only count actual street/treadmill running. For the month: 18.72 miles

II am much more self conscious on the treadmill or elliptical at the gym. Outside on the road, I am moving and so are other people, I feel I have more anonymity; in the gym, we're all just looking at each other. I am trying to get over myself, but I don't like to really get my sweat on in the gym, its so unlady like. With…

I lost track of what miles I've posted this week. Total for the week, though is 10--monthly total 11.5.

That's awesome!!! One of the best NSV's there is! I did this not too long ago by betting myself that I couldn't do it! I'd tell myself that I could quit when I got to the top of the hill, but then I'd tell myself it's downhill, just run it! It's an awesome feeling. Congratulations!

Give yourself some time. Don't beat yourself up. I just started going to Gold's this week on my lunch break instead of just running. Although, while I'm lifting, my muscles are very resistant, when I'm done, I don't have that endurphin feeling that I had when running. I'm still tweaking my routine so that I can get some…

I love my Asics (about $90), but I'm hoping in the coming weeks to be able to go to a runners store (there's not one in our little po-dunk town) and get fitted for shoes. I've got my fingers crossed that I can get a pair for under $130. I too am pretty new at running. Last spring I started walking a path, then slowly…

With the increasing wind, I decided I needed to joing the gym, so I have changed up my workout routine some. I'm now running on a treadmill :noway: for 1-2 miles and then some circuit training. I sure am missing the outdoors for running, though. Yesterday and today combined added 3miles; total for month 6.5 miles.

2 miles on the treadmill today. Total for month 3.5 miles.

Only got in 1.5 miles on Sunday. Allow me to gloat a little...I went for a run with my husband, not only did he run slower than me, he had to stop at 1.5 miles and we walked the rest of the way. :ohwell:

4 miles yesterday; 4.75 miles today--total for week 10.8--total for the month 61 I did it!! Not only did I meet my goal for February, but I made up for the miles that I was short in January!!

A typical day for me is getting up & ready for work/kids to school at 5:15. Breakfast around 9:30-10:00 sitting at my desk (oatmeal, breakfast sandwich, protein-type bar); maybe a banana around 11:30; run 3-4 miles at 1; Eat lunch (turkey sandwich, pita) around 3:00-3:30; supper around 6pm. I also have to have a snack…

Does it count that I started my fitness journey last year a few months before I turned 40? I decided that I wanted to be Fit and Fabulous at Forty with Four kids. Feel free to add me if you'd like.

Only 2 miles today...it started raining on me and I had to go back to work after running. I was so disappointed because the air was the perfect temperature & humidity to allow for an awesome run!!

Like everyone else...bump for later. Thank you!

I could drink it all day, except for the fact that my bladder doesn't cooperate when I go for a run if I do. I know, TMI!

8 more miles for me this week--total for the month is 50.18! I have met my goal for the month and will now work on exceeding it!!
-
I'm in again for 50 for March, please. ...And thank you so much for keeping this going. I really like seeing what percentage I am at and how many miles I have left to do. I am hoping that for February I will make up for the miles that I fell short in January. I know this is a lot of work to keep up with everyone's mileage…

Just a quick glance at this website & I see a lot of new favorites for me!! I also eat at my desk around 9:30 or 10. I have a stash of Protein-type bars (not the ones you get in the pharmacy, those that you get from the cereal aisle). I also will bring either a packet of low-sugar instant oatmeal or one of the new Jimmy…

4.1 more miles today! Total for the month is 39.18. It was cold and drizzly, but I did it and then went back to work looking a little worse for the wear, but feeling great!

I'm sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but did the batteries on the strap quit or the batteries in the watch quit? The batteries in my Polar watch part quit and I just took it to a jewerler/watch battery replacement place in the mall and for $8 and about 10 minutes, they were able to replace it. But, since it's…

Ok...I'm bumping this one to see what the results are. Someone had better come back on here after doing it!
