Excellent, Romey84!

I would suggest a 5 day split. More rest with the proper macronutrients will allow your body to repair itself and grow. Also...lift heavy!

Cool, thanks!

The rule of thumb for protein is 1gm per pound of body weight (even more if you are muscle building). So if you weigh 150lbs you would need 150gms of protein a day. This is to ensure you don't catabolize your muscle while dieting away your fat. Also, protein has a thermogenic effect because the body has to work harder to…

Been there, Beeps! My measurements went the wrong way last week, but this week I got my diet dialed in and lost fat in the right places and gained some size in chest. Hang in there and tweak the diet where necessary and you will be on the right path in no time!

Happy Friday! Got a good leg workout today and followed with 30 minutes of cardio. I am doing the Metabolic Diet so as of tonight I can carb load for the next 24-36 hours. Whoop!

Yep, that's me. That pic is a couple years old. I think I'm 48 or 49 there. Not quite as lean (then I was 6%bf) now I'm around 9% but I went on a bulking routine over the winter and put on some extra muscle. Hey, I like to eat!

Physically 51...mentally...18:wink:

A calorie is not a calorie, Reecybaby. If I ate 2500 calories a day of donuts and cake, I assure you I would look very different than if I ate 2500 calories of the proper macro nutrients. Mr.Dexter is correct as well, the need for essential fats as an energy source (instead of inefficient carbs) to release fat burning…

You can't have too much protein, but if you are going over your carbs and sugars it can definitely stunt your progress. Sugar and carbohydrates release insulin, which stores fat. I would increase my protein levels and lower the other two to stay in the same caloric range. Good luck!
