  • Feel free to add me...and good luck on your weight loss and Im here to support you...I'm 5'2 and I started out at 180 in Jan, so I know about being obese..it has taken me 130 days to lose 20 lbs...but im not complaining...another 20-25 to go to goal.....just stick with it...it gets rough some times...but it is full proof!!
  • Yep...I think you need to increase your cal intake too!!!
  • Yes...stick with it...if you are at your goal weight then you have nothing to worry about!!! Congrats and have fun on your trip!!!
  • I think 120-125 is more than an acceptable weight for a 45 y/o mother of three...srry to say that but I think 112 is looking sort of Calista Flockhart or Nicole Ritchie...wayyy to small....
  • I agree with you....whats protesting gonna do about the gas prices....although I used to get and partake in emails/texts that were protesting against gas prices by not buying gas on a certain day...

  • Awesome work...It has taken me 130 days to lose 1 pound short of 20(19)hahaha....but I'm not giving up and I feel very good about that 19...I know I'm more healthy and getting fit and my body is toning...my skin is not sagging so it beats a huge fast weight loss for me...now 20 to go...so I'm with you on this…
  • There are a bunch of posts for "newbies"...welcome to MFP...it is great and there's lots of motivation and support online w/out having to go in some office like JC & WW....log your foods, log your excercise and stay accountable...and it works...faster for some than others but with real dedication it can make a…

  • Oatmeal at least 5 days a week....:drinker: :drinker:
  • At least eat some of them back so your deficit isnt to large...I burn lots of cals with workouts somedays and it wuld be impossible for me to eat them all back so I do what I can...but I do try and eat at least half back!!!
  • If you know you are going to work out...you should add the cals in throughout the day...so come night you dont have to worry about squeezing in excercise cals to eat back...and yes it will begin to affect you if you consistently have these deficits!!!!
  • LOL...i was gonna say..now you know this is going to make the men want to read it more...I just take a multivitamin daily...sorry!!!
  • Go to walmart.com(fitness page)....they have a calorie counter on their..you put in your age and weight I think and they have Zumba...I compared it to my HRM and it was pretty close!!!
  • This is when planning is essesntial...if you know or think you are going to ride your bike..increase your cals during the day...and if you do increase your cals before the bkie, then you wont have to worry about eating back cals late at night....find high calorie, low fat snacks to eat like Greek yogurt, cheese, peanut…
  • Nutrition plays a bigger role is weight loss...excercise is the icing on the cake to keep the metabolism up and get toned as the weight comes off and improve the caridovascular function in the body...lowering cholesterol burning fat!!!
  • 2-3 for me...and it usually takes about 3-4 days afterwards for me to see my pre TOM weight and by then Im hoping to have lose a few extra pounds...started my TOM on exactly the 1st and Im up 2 pounds...
  • I use my numbers from my HRM for my cardio and my training session....
  • I too have to have my 2 cups of "cawfee"in the morning...those are 8oz cups of water...or 80-100oz I hear is the recommended intake!!
  • Thanks for that inspiring post on water...I have never been a water drinker and find it very hard to do on the days I dont work out...when I workout I can can get my 80 oz in...but when I dont work out its a struggle...so I know I need to try harder!!!
  • WOW...60 lbs in 3 months...Im hitting 5 months and barely lost 20...WTG!!!!
  • Going on my 3rd HRm..with the last one settling to be the Polar FT4...it has beeen the best so far...had a Sportline(crap) and a New Balance(crap)...so i sold on the Polar as being the best other than a Bodybugg!!!
  • Depends on how comfortable you feel with picking up from where you left off....Since its the first of the month....I would probable do 30 days from today...but maybe not at level 1...starting at level 2 if it's comfortable!!!
  • Sounds like you are on the right track...I am doing 30%fat, 20 % pro and 50 % carbs at the recommendation of my trainer...you know you can change your profile settings for what ever percent you are shooting for....drinking lots of water is keen...I am learning...never been a water drinker so this is a struggle most…
  • I too think you should be logging on the weekends...for one if your results stall...you may wanna analyze your weekend eating and make it one day instead of both...and its important to know just how much "cheating"you are doing....I dont have cheat days...but last week I went to ****eys BBQ and I logged in everything I…
  • Eating before you go to bed does not make you gain anymore weight than if you had that snack 3 hours before bed...its all about cals in and cals out...your body is going to metabolize the food the same....I usually take a fat free Greek yogurt to bed with me and eat it when Im watching TV about 8-9...and some water!!!! Now…

  • I have not...but I do appreciate the fact that I am within range of that weight and although I may not get there in 5 weeks I think it to be possible for me to get there in 8-10 wks...so I keep on trekkin!!!
  • Congrats...I started Jan 1 and I am down 17-18 pounds...so kudos 2 u and I am right behind ya!!! And I think your weight loss is right on time...I too see some people who lose 35 lbs in 4 months...I dont know if I'm doing something wrong, but nevertheless I take the loss I have over the gain I would have had if it weren't…
