Very nice changes so far and great attitude. Keep it going!
-
And I think you're being overly dramatic. Carry on.

Why is this in the success stories forum? Post elsewhere.

Your story is great. People tend to respond more when there are pictures, I think. No need to be bitter about it, your victories are your own, they do not belong to an internet message board.

Oooh, ooh! I know this one! Pick me, pick me!

I don't see a huge difference (maybe a slight size reduction in the thighs?) between the Feb and March pictures, honestly, but you look awesome in both of them, so that's not a critical comment. Definitely a huge difference between the Sept and Jan pictures, very well done!

Don't eat less necessarily. Start weighing your food using a digital scale as opposed to using measuring cups. Enter and track your intake, and evaluate as you go. Also, be patient. This is not a sprint. :)

...except I'm left handed.... :)

Also, don't I know it! Gah!

How far down would you say I should drop? Are we talking all the way back to just the bar here, or somewhere in between?

Assuming a couple weeks off from squats to rest, suggestions on what to fill the time with? As I mentioned, we have a power cage with bar and weights, treadmill, and dumbbells up to 45 pounds. Stronglifts includes squats on every workout (3x per week), so I'd definitely like to find something to do in the meantime.

I've been doing research on form and trying to maintain what I believe to be good form, was my form particularly bad in the video? Definitely interested in specific comments on that. I did two warmup sets of 5x85lb, then the main weight in the video was at 175lb. I have been following the stronglifts progression of adding…

I wasn't twisting to the side intentionally, no. I felt my balance start to lean forward and corrected back to upright (at least that's what it felt like), and then I felt a twinge. After I finished the set I realized it was tender and didn't do my remaining squats. I don't have a gym membership, we have a power cage at…

Good idea to book a massage, do you think?

We use this bluetooth speaker in our exercise room, the phone can sit where ever that way, I don't have to carry it around.
-
Start measuring. Our capacity as humans to delude ourselves when not faced with hard evidence is nearly unlimited.
-
We got an Aria scale, connected it to Fitbit account (which is connected to MFP) and Trendweight, and man does it do a good job of taking the stress out of daily fluctuations. I just check that my trend line is still moving down and then focus on controlling what I eat and doing my exercise. Everything else will take care…

Dude, stop mixing your messages. It's peeps or bust. I can't have you flip flopping on me now that I've 100% bought into your program.

So, thought I'd post my progress after 4 more weeks, so those following along can see the update. Also maybe this will help some analytically inclined folks to sort out their own numbers. Second 4 weeks data (Feb 7 - Mar 6, 2015) Eaten 68401 Burned 95106 Expected Loss -7.63 Actual Loss -4.1 Total Data for 8 Weeks (Jan 10 -…

Remarkable transformation. Wonderful dedication.

I am interested in your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

*points and laughs* Clearly you have not discovered the deliciousness of bugles yet! Otherwise you would not waste your timecalories on such junky junk food!

Yeah I know. The new number actually makes a lot more sense in the context of what a 5'8" man is 'supposed' to weigh. My spreadsheet is still very upset though, just sayin'.
-
That does not sound likely to me. Based on your pictures I would have a hard time believing 18%. For reference, I am 5'8" 252lb and 35% body fat.

When I'm running on the treadmill and I use my upper arm to wipe sweat from my forehead, I can't help but flex my bicep a little bit in that moment that my arm is against my head. Feels sweet.
-
Change this, at least for a bit, would be my recommendation.

For the record, my calorie burns seem to be transferring fine from Fitbit to MFP. Are you logging your exercise in the fitbit portal? I log non-walking/running exercises in Fitbit (like weightlifting), but do not manually log walking type exercise, as it adjusts my calories based on steps. Are you expecting to see actual…

So if you were doing squats and deadlifts on the same day (I do in SL 5x5) you would stop and switch shoes between lifts? This seems....excessive.

I plan to do a lot (like, a LOT) of reps. (a lot)
