Thanks everyone...very good to know all your thoughts...i will go the moderation way. I feel better and more cheerful and being happy and positive is important in this journey. It is encouraging to know that people have lost weight using the moderation method. To cut out certain food works for a lot of people as well...so…

Modified jumping jacks for me...I can't breathe if I do them the correct way. I try...but will take it easy...and build my stamina as I lose weight. The water part is working well...

I used to have the WORST TOM. Went to the doctor, and she recommended ibuprofen and moving my *kitten* (no joke, that's what she said). It was so easy for me to sit and wallow in pain--REALLY hard to get up off the couch and work out. Working out (for me anyway) eases the cramping and the lovely headache I get with mine. I…

Phoenixchichi: I've sent you a friend request. Congrats on losing 9 pounds...we have similar goals I notice. Good luck to both of us...and most importantly...thank you for your words of wisdom...they help immensely. Newcs: After reading your message as well as the others' I have started to realize how taking rest is as…

Hi Mokey41: Thank you! That fact about water is an eye opener. Every weight loss related article would list it as the top to-dos and would go as far as to say that without drinking enough water the weight won't come off. But I've had several people respond (including yourself ) to say that the amount of water they consumed…

Yay! excited to see the enthusiasm!!! Yes, lets get healthy! I had the same question about the progress bar at the bottom. Will sure make me more disciplined...knowing lots of people are seeing how I progress. About the food diary - Since I am not from the US, my menu would vary a lot. But I'm watching calories and am…

Thank you! sounds encouraging...I just heard about a reunion towards end of December...a huge motivation for me to get moving!!! You sound a like a fun mom. Kudos to you! I'll post how I do today shortly...
-
Thanks and good luck to you too! I am sure if we motivate each other - at the end of 90 days, we'll reach our targets! I'm already feeling cheerful!
-
Thanks so much for that. Yes MFP told me 1200 so I stuck to it. I did try other sites and they gave me higher calorie targets - but I said to my self "eat less, lose weight faster" and went with the 1200 target. Also, although I stick to the 1200 calorie target, I guess I need to figure out - how much of protiens, carbs…

This is exactly what I needed - some motivation. I just posted on another forum about how depressed I am feeling about being overweight. Well, a little bit about me - I am 5 feet, 185 lbs and experts say that I need to get to somewhere around 114lbs. I want to join this group so I can stay motivated and possibly some day…

I've read weekly is better. Apparently daily weight fluctuates since the amount of water we tend to hold varies every day and our bodies take time to show real changes in weight. But I step on the scales every day and it can get frustrating when you don't see it moving.

Wow, that's one word I have for the progess you've made. You are an inspiration. I am a mother of a 11 month old and have to lose 73 pounds. I have been working out for over 3 weeks (Jillian Michaels - No more trouble zones, shred it with weights, 30 day shred, Banish fat boost metabolism) eating 1200 calories a day but…
