I tend to agree. if the gov't is giving it (well actually us taxpayers are), then the gov't should not allow them to be used for junk. if a family is struggling to maintain nutrition, candy wont help any... whole grains and veggies, etc will

I think you're valid in worried about him being sedentary whether he's overweight or not. protein and fiber are your friends. Just keep healthy snacks around. You don't wanna starve, cause you might go overboard at some point. Trust me I'm a huge impulse night snacker, so I can definitely relate. Sounds like you are doing pretty good though, bc when I slip up, I usually do so in a huge way. lol... Welcome!!!
