It's really hard when buying things and you have no clue. I'd say its def more 120 cals.... I usually error on the side of picking something from the list with the highest amount if I have to guess.

I saw this on the news to.... I am vegetarian Monday through Friday lol so I thought I was in the clear with this one. But then I saw the vita pak I am using from GNC has one entire pill just for carnitine.... hmmmmmm. So apparently I am taking a giant dose of carnitine in spite of being predominantly meatless and about…

I've had a cold all week but I worked through it at the gym. It really depends on how awful I feel. The one night I was up all night coughing and didn't get to sleep till 4:30am so waking up at 5:30am for the gym just wasn't going to happen. So I went for a job outside later in the day instead. I'm afraid if I stay idle…

I used to have this "cheat day" mindset back when I tried, failed, tried, failure... rinse. repeat. lol Once I got over the fact that I need to have exponentially more awesome days than mediocre or bad days... I found my stride. It's really a life style change and those cheat days gotta go. You just have to come to terms…

Try to eat as natural as possible, say goodbye to sugar... when you have to give in to temptation... enjoy, don't beat yourself up and get right back on track. Last, your success is truly measured by how hard your fight threw the tough times and once you take control, it gets sooo much easier so just keep fighting and hang…

All of my clothing is hanging off of me but I see no loss at all. I can feel it though.

Congrats!! I am about 46lbs down since the beginning of the year and it is amazing what 40 pounds gone can do!

Being able to go hiking/walking/jogging/sight seeing on foot without hating it because it felt like "work", enjoying going to the gym and challenging myself, knowing that I am not powerless... and hopefully there will be many more to come! :)

During my numerous attempts at weight loss, binging was my biggest problem. I really had to take a look at the things that were triggers for my binging and cut them out. In this sense I am referring to food but, of course, emotions can lead to binging as well. Keep some health snacks near by that you can go to when you get…

I don't eat back my workout calories but there is a lot of controversy about that surrounding these boards. But right now its working for me and I don't feel hungry. You could always give it a try and see what works best for you!

I wish I didn't have a scale. Honestly, measurements and the way you look/feel and the way your clothing fits is the best way to gauge how you are doing. The scale drive me crazy! Any yet, I still jump on it daily.

I was struggling with this a lot as well. As a result, I grocery shot every week :/ I prefer fresh and natural foods so its just easier that way. When restricting calories, I just can eat as many different things throughout the day. So I may get to the end of the week and my bananas are turning brown because I didn't eat…

If you are going by BMI - BMI is crazy. I'd be skin and bones at its recommendations. I think once you are in a healthy weight range, its all about your own preference. Because someone people maybe carrying more muscle and another may be carrying more fat. Those people at the same weight would look very different.

Water, water, water and MORE water :)

1500 is low! I am at 291lbs and it has told me to have about 1650-ish and that's at two pounds a week. I am trying to more than that though. I would recommend eating your heartiest meal at lunch. It sounds like you are really doing wonderful! I started out with a lot of cardio to drop pounds but now I am weight training as…

I've never really know what the right thing to do here is. I set mine as sedentary so it give me less calories, but that's just me :)

I am seeing the toll obesity has taken on my father's body. He is only 54 and already has kidney problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, bad knees, bad hip... and so many other concerns. On top of that, I recently got married and my husband is incredibly healthy. When I am 54 I don't want to be struggling like my father…

Hmm... I haven't had any problems losing weight while on the pill. Perhaps you could discuss it with your doctor and she could consider prescribing a different one? I suppose different pills may have different side effects. Stay away from the shot though, I did that and packed on the pounds! Most people I know who tried it…

I do only once a week... or I should say, I only log it once week. Sadly, I jump on the darn scales every day! Sometimes I will see movement on the scale on a wednesday but I force myself not to log anything until my log in day on Friday. I also do it first thing in the morning.

I've been trying to cook tempeh into my foods... I make a lot of meatless chili and I just crumble it up and put into the chili or any other dishes I am making that it works with. It helps to add some extra protein to the diet. Are you a lacto ovo veg? You could do some eggs. I eat oatmeal for breakfast and sometimes mix…

I use it from time to time. It is healthier to avoid it... because of health, not necessarily because of weight loss. I've heard a lot of people say you can't lose weight with artificial sweetners or diet soda... my mother lost 140 pounds drinking diet soda the entire time.

Water is certianly not a myth and VERY important to your health. It very much effects my weight if I do not drink enough water. I happen to love water and do WELL over 8 glasses so I am not great with advice for this. But, at my local grocery store they have a water jog that you can fill with the amount you should get…

I tend to hop of the scale every day -- wish I could stop. But I only log the weight to mpf one day a week, which is Monday morning. But I am changing it to Friday morning because my routine is always messed up over the weekend and I never get the amount of water I do during the week. I thought Monday would hold me…

I'd say that is a personal decision. As self proclaimed food junkie - if I eat sweets or anything I am trying to train my palate not to want - cheating is a down hill spiral of disaster for me.
