I chose sedentary on mine so I try to add anything that wouldn't be included in that. If it gets my heart rate up or makes me break a sweat... and its longer than say, 15 minutes... I add it :)

I'm sure your old mfp friends will be glad to continue supporting you... none of us are without our struggles! But if you need some new friends, I am there for ya! Feel free to shoot me an add... my story is quite similar to yours. Best of luck on your journey!

Thirty minutes is great... you just need to push youself. Someone reading there book and working out for one hour at a leisurely pace doesn't reap near the benefits of doing 30 hard minutes of work out. You can burn a good amount of calories in 30 minutes!

Amazing! Very motivating! You look fantastic :)

I read the "What not to Eat" book and was surprised by some of those. I remember saying the Outback was terrible because they bathe all their food in butter so even the "healthy" selections were secretly terrible. It's my favorite restaurant :( haha I also read the "What not to drink" book but it was pointless for me since…

I to find myself struggling less at work. I thrive where I have structure and lack of temptation. I get home and I feel like I just freak out. I used to feel that way anyway. I actually had to sugar detox to get my mind off of munching. But it has helped me and I rarely get cravings these days. They come and go but I am…

I picked my goal weight by choosing the weight I was when I felt good. My BMI suggests that a healthy weight for me is 160 but I chose 180 as my goal. My body tend to look slimmer than the the actual weight.... at that was when I was young. I will adjust as I get closer to a healthy weight to determine what really want to…

I think some food are better fat burners. I do low carb and eat as little sugar as possible. I had that same feeling, I thought as long as I ate my calorie limit, it shouldn't matter. But when I cleaned it up is when I started losing weight. I am losing about 4-5 pounds a week by knocking out sugar, lowering carbs and…

I stick with green veggies, they aren't as starchy.

You are rockin' that bikini! Nice job!

Yep, I'd say it works. Counting calories and being held accountable for them is what is doing the trick for me. Sometimes know I have to log something in the diary will discourage me from eating something. I will take all the motivation I can get! :) Hope you have some success with it!

I have the same problem. I have lost about 23 pounds and everyone else says they can tell but I just can't. My mom had lost almost 200 pounds and she told me that even at that weight she would look in the mirror and "feel" like everything was the same. I hope it doesn't get that bad for me. But I can't wait for the day…

Well said! :) It's hard to maintain that mentality sometimes, that is for sure.

I am all too familiar with a soda addiction. I mentioned this on another post that I came from a home where if there was no soda in the fridge, mom thought we had nothing to drink. So we were serious soda people. I grew up thinking soda was the only beverage out there. So I had to make a decision to cut regular soda out.…

I agree, a dietician would be a good start. Carbs are important when you need energy. Athletes need much more carbs than others do so I'd be fearful of carb cutting...

Oh yes, pop is very evil! I grew up in a home where my mom thought if there wasn't soda in the fridge then we didn't have anything to do drink! I was a soda junkie for YEARS! I've kicked that habit at long last... now I have a diet soda on a rare occassion.

Look at you bombshell! You look fantastic! :) Well done!

My scale is always fluctuationg and it is really frustrating and a lot of times it's just water weight. Though sometimes, I have no idea what it is but I know that I can't be down 5 pounds one day and up 4 pounds the next... but the scale will try to have mebelieve that! At first, I would get discouraged. But now I just…

I cut out carbs and sugars and I've lost 15 in three weeks.

Welcome to MFP! There is also a great community here and I hope you get the support you need! It has been amazing for me.

I used to eat those snacks to but they can be loaded with sugar. I read a book that told me that I shouldn't eat anything with over 5grams of sugar per serving. I later realized just how hard that is to do!! But I ended up cutting out the 100 calorie packs because even though they are 100 calories that pack a sugary punch!

Cutting out the alcohol has been the hardest thing for me. I love good wine and I love craft beer. I have reduced my drinking though to every other weekend. I have a beer festival and a wine festival coming up.... yikes! :)

Impressive! I wish I was early riser! I hate dragging myself to the gym after work but I think I hate dragging myself out of bed early more.
