Oh- so true. There are so many excuses not get in shape and the older I get the more there are. I was a runner for 30 years, now I can't run for at least 8 weeks to heal an injury. Instead of crying on couch-I learned how to spin. Costly- since I went out an picked up a nice cervelo.

I try for 1500 calories a day too, and eat back exercise calories. With hard training, I am losing fat, gaining muscle and keep weight about the same. I use a measuring tape around belly button and suck in, every two weeks. I have seen a steady decrease in fat and muscle gain. I used the food diary as a feedback mechanism…

Good point. I will look at that.

Nice post. It may not a be a gluten problem. I was on an acid blocker because of acid reflux for months. However, I did not want to be on them for life. The doctor said I had a bad stomach valve. However, I tested different foods to see if that was correct. I noticed pizza gave me the worst acid reflux, gas, etc. One night…

Yes- the more information the better. I suggest banning "made from" on the label because it is very misleading. If you alter the compound-it is no longer the compound. For example, "made from" sugar is not sugar. One can say hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) are "made from" Salt (NaCl) and Water (H2O).

I suggest protein at the last meal if you only have 200-300 calories left-like a hard boiled egg. The carbs make me hungry and I will be tempted to eat more.

It could be your blood sugar levels. In general, if blood sugar to high-insulin reduces blood sugar by converting sugar to fat. Try switching your breakfast to more protein(and a little fat) instead of the banana. Banana is a great food, but I only eat them right before or during exercise to ensure the sugar is burned by…

Sorry to be blunt- but you are confusing "commenting" with "noticing". Just because people did not comment does not mean they did not notice. I assure you, the vast majority of people notice you lost 30lb. Many will not "comment" because they are jealous. Many will not comment-because at work any comments relating to looks…

Might be the type of food. If I am eating carbs- french fries, baked potato, rice, pasta- then very difficult to stop eating-i.e. never feel full. However, if I am eating protein/fat, steak, turkey, fish - feel full on far less food and I can easily control the volume eaten. One great tasting carb (fries) and I am…

A lot of guys are cautious to say anything related to weight loss or looks-unless the woman brings up the topic first, i.e. gives a little feedback on the direction wanted. Thus, silence does not mean the weight loss is not noticed.

I have this same problem. Last night I broke out the honey and a bananna. Not good. I believe for me it was caused by too many carbs throughout the day and eaten at the wrong time (not before exercise). Thus, I spiked by insulin. Once the insulin is spiked it is a roller coaster ride for me- eat carbs - high blood…

I drink about 1.5 gallons of whole milk a week. I also eat a lot of cheese and whey protein-both also made from milk. I would not know what to do without milk. I have been to dairy farms and the cows are treated very well- open field grazing, cleaned daily, etc.- a nice symbiotic relationship with humans.

I can't do Nutella. One taste and I start shoving it in my mouth. My mouth is watering thinking about it. My go to sweet is now honey.

Depends on a lot of factors. Eat a lot of salt, get thirsty and drink alot of water. Hot outside, drink a lot of water. Hungover, drink even more water. I easily drink 8, and most often twice that each day.

Profile pick- Kick *kitten* attitude.

Did you actually accurately measure your stomach? I.e. stand straight, suck in and measure around belly button. Do same measurement every two weeks. Your eyes play tricks, mine do. I thought I was not losing until I looked at the tape measure.

I generally like this with a caveat. If you do long distance cardio- biking or cardio for more than an hour- then you need more sugar (glucose) during the cardio. I found 100 grams of carbs during days of lower cardio work for me. However, on long cardio days, my eat about 100 plus the carbs during the cardio.

Testosterone. Let him cool off. If he is decent on the inside-he will regret what he did and make up for it. Otherwise, time for battle.

If you figure this out let me know. I understand the craving. I get to about 5pm and the sugar craving hits like a ton of bricks. I usually try to quell it with a squirt of honey. Apple works too. Last night three handfuls of peanut mm's (yum) quelled it, now I have to burn some extra calories today. Good luck.

Have you been accurately measuring your tummy, stand straight n suck in measure around belly button? Do again every two weeks or so. Your eyes play tricks (mine do), but the tape measure does not lie. Furthermore, I believe you lose the fat from all areas, i.e. a generally a thin layer all over the body. Thus, the fat loss…

Fresh ground Major ****inson's Blend, use a french press so the cup is filled with small grounds-really strong coffee (no such thing as too strong-will use a spoon if necessary).

In general guys say stupid things to women all the time, which is usually a blunt statement of what we perceive as the truth. I do it as well. No amount of practice will avoid this. I think you should give the guy a chance to explain or apologize if he hurt your feelings. I notice the first thing most women say is dump…
