Am about to start base training (again) and hope to complete my first 1/2 in August (first race on my Island) and then doing the Loch Ness Marathon late September. Ok, it seems a long way ahead but need to get some running practice in so will be keeping an eye on this thread.

CONGRATULATIONS! I'm up to 90 seconds now and did 5*60sec the other day. I remember when 10 seconds had me shaking violently (not that long ago) and shall make 3 minutes a new goal of mine so another NSV - your inspiring others ;)

Peachy thought to herself... 'I hope that hand belongs to somebody I like'

Week4, Day2, col2 20/25/20/20/28 (113). Getting brutal now and the last 5 had me on my knees (literally).

I only handle BIG equipment

cross posted so... Now John, be sure to get all of me in the shot!

I hope these glasses make me look as intelligent (as I obviously am).

I soak them in water overnight and drink it before/during a run as somebody suggested it would stop my stitch and it seems to work :) If you run and have never read 'Born to Run' you should, it talks about a Mexican tribe that (apparently) can run 100's of miles on a few handfuls!!

Txs folks and yes, I was well surprised and happy at the difference 12lbs makes :) Nothing like some of the amazing losses I see here daily but my little triumph.

ooh, I went to Wirral grammar School for boys (a long time ago mind).

Week 4, Day 1, Col 2 18/22/16/16/25. I think I should do this every other day (as per schedule) as today was hard.
-
Hard 4 miles in 60mph gusts - was as hard going downhill with the wind behind me as it was uphill into the wind!
-
Is it just me that thinks these are... well... wrong? Me? Ablutions first, I centre scales over 4 tiles, for 6 days weigh myself in my jim jams (its cold) and on Mondays I strip off for the weekly weigh in knowing I must have lost as I'm now nekid :)
-
On reflection it was me shaking violently from holding the plank ;) Does that happen to everybody?
-
Completed :) Slightly hampered on the final set as it was done during a 30 second earthquake - was shaking all over!
-
Gonna give this a go later :)
-
lol cmeirun but am a long way from 100 in one go ;)

Week 3 Day 3 Col 2 completed... 16/21/15/15 & 35 (102 total woohoo)

I read a lot about this and ended up on a 12 week deficit (lost 15 1/2lbs fat gained 3 1/2lbs of LBM) and have just started to reverse the losses and gain 12lb of LBM and probably gain a few pounds of fat - will see in another 12 weeks ;)

here ya go....

Smart Brabus Roadster Coupe (have entered my second childhood). Don't think I'd swap it for anything.

One set of dumbbells is not enough to do a full set of routines. Just a thought but have you looked at resistance bands? I got a set with 3 months free membership at liveexercise.com and think they are a great way to work out. Some people say resistance bands don't work but I can get a good work out with them (and easier…
-
Txs, think you may be right. I am pretty lean @15.9%BF and started doing some weights so I didn't lose too much LBM 3 months ago - maybe I should change the target to 6 months then :)
-
Txs for the welcome cmeirun :) Don't think doing two days btb was wise and will probably suffer tomorrow now. Week 3 Day 2 Col 2 14/19/14/14 & 21 =82

Looks like there is 1 day rest per week. As I'm doing the 100 push ups in 6 weeks challenge am going to try their 200 squats in 6 weeks challenge as it seems a bit more structured for me - good luck to everyone!

I have a series of core exercises including several variations of the plank. I was told to stop running however running 'appears' to help my back and have had more pain free days since running than in the previous 10 years post op.

Need to do a test soon, last one was 57 (am 53yrs old btw).
