You won't get bulky lifting weights. (I mean, you could eventually, but you'd have to work really hard at it.) I've been doing a weights class for 3 months, 2-3 times a week and I'm definitely stronger but my muscles are far from huge! I've enjoyed doing group power class at my gym but it covers all muscle groups.

I've been doing yoga somewhat regularly for a year and the hot yoga TERRIFIES me. I have regular yoga class days that make me feel useless - I can't imagine what would happen if I tried Bikhram - good for you for trying! I would try regular yoga so you can learn the posses and then go back to try hot yoga :)

I used soup cans, too :) I finally upped to some weights - 2 or 3 pounds would work (5 is too much!)

It's definitely helped reinvigorate my workout (especially since I'm having trouble getting to yoga class with all the snow in Kansas!). I did level 1 for about 3 weeks - normally you're supposed to do it for 10 days- because I wasn't able to do it everyday. I've done level 2 twice now. Haven't seen weight overall come off…
