My Y has a really great Group Power class. Group Active has a great mix of cardio and strength. Check out the classes - there's a lot included with your membership. And if you are willing to pay, there's some TRX training classes that you can take as well.

I struggled with this for years and years. I couldn't stick it to because I was too tired, it was too late, it was too early, etc., etc. Once I found something that I really loved to do (that for me was group classes), I was going regularly. Once I started going regularly I built up a group of friends in those classes. Now…

I wasn't consistent with exercise until I truly found something that I loved to do. For me that turned out to be group classes. I've been doing them for about 4 months now and have tried many different classes until I found the ones I really liked. Now I don't even think about whether to go or not..it's routine.

If their wages plus tips for the pay period don't equal minimum wage the employer is required by federal law to make up the difference to get them to minimum wage.

What about water aerobics?

Why 50g for carbs

Go to the desk and say you want to quit. There's a one page form to fill out and sign. Takes less than 2 minutes.

Which setting did you pick for your dominant hand? Maybe try wearing it on your nondominant with the dominant setting turned on so that it isn't as sensitive to the movement.

I'll join as well

You can't double count the calories if your fitbit is synched with MFP. If you record the exercise in MFP you will have a starting time to enter and minutes. MFP will override the calories you say you burned during that period with what fitbit has. Especially since you have the charge hr, I wouldn't do it. Just let the…

Another one with no advice, but I am really sorry for your loss.

Will echo what everybody else said. It does take time to get through this. I lost my appetite and couldn't sleep as well. Lean on a few good friends to help get you through this and maybe try to do a few nice things for yourself. When I was going thru mine I didn't have a lot of $$, so I made an appt with the local…

Did you and your dad used to eat fast food a lot together? Is it somehow (at least in his mind) his way of bonding with you? Just asking because my dad and I used to sit in the car and eat a candy bar and drink a soda while my mom shopped (side note - she didn't drive). It was our normal, it was our time together. When I…

I've been on depo for quite a few years and can echo a few things other people have said. It does seem that I have to watch more how much/how often I eat when I'm trying to lose weight. It's almost like sometimes the signal as to being full just doesn't sound so sometimes it is just saying - ok you've eaten enough. I'll…

Somebody once told me that you always get the weigh in you deserve, you just don't necessarily get it the week you deserve it. There are lots of reason that your weight could be bouncing around - sodium increase, increases in activity. Heck for me, a day higher in carbs will cause a slight increase for a day or two. Yes…

Since I got my Charge HR, I prefer to hold the button in on it to start recording my exercise. Then I just let the data flow over to MFP. You definitely don't want to tell MFP and Fitbit that you worked out because then you doubling up on the exercise.

I switched devices, but I didn't have any problems with the linkage. Are your fitbit and mpf accounts still linked? Or maybe try unlinking them and relinking.
-
I had a fitbit one and upgraded to a charge hr about 1 month ago. The steps being tracked with the charge hr are pretty much the same as I had for the one.
-
How high has your sodium intake been? Could be retaining water from that. Weight loss definitely isn't linear. As I was once told you always get the weigh in you deserve...however you don't always get it in the week you deserve it.

Sometimes the hardest thing is going back to the gym after a break. I just went back last night to PF after two months of either working out at the small fitness center where I live or doing videos at home. I had to talk myself out of not going to the gym multiple times, including while I was in the parking lot (it was…

I upgraded from the One to the Charge HR as well and I absolutely love the Charge HR. One of the things I like the best about it is if you put it in exercise mode while working out, you can see a graphic later of what your heart rate was during the entire exercise time. I have a Polar FT7 as well and the calorie burns the…

^ This. Is that all you are eating every day? That can't be more than 500/600 calories.

Another divorced here. Anybody can feel free to add me.

You don't have to give up your nighttime snack. There's nothing wrong with it. Pre-log it in the AM and that way you'll know what you have to work with for the rest of the day.

You only fail if you stop trying. I agree with SnuggleSmacks - start with one thing you want to change and practice changing that. After a couple of weeks once you got into the habit with the 1st change, add something else in. Sometimes when we try to change everything at once, it's frankly just too much for us to handle…

Most people at the gym aren't even going to notice you. They are there to get their crap done and get out. If you want to go to the gym, just go.
