I make muffins on Sunday nights that are great for someone on the go. They are 4 cups of oats, 1 cup of almond milk, 3 ripe bananas ( mashed), pinch of salt, 1/3 cup of oil, cinnamon, baking powder and 1 cup of stevia. Put the oats in the food proceessor until they become a flour. Then add all the other ingredients and mix…

Dead on! BMI can drive us insane. Just because someone is a specific weight doesn't mean they are overweight. You must look at body composition as well!

I somewhat disagree with your post. I was an obese child growing up, and had two parents that worked hard. My mom was so concerned with my weight that she even took me to see a RD and I just couldn't lose weight to save my life. They eventually credited my inability to lose weight to being on predisone, and by that time…

I tend to prefer an older man. My ex husband is 13 years my senior and before we split, I truly enjoyed him and our time together. Older men seem to be more mature, and want to engage in the finer and more cultural aspects of life, not just hang at the club and drink all the time. However, I have met my fair share of men…

Being able to cross my legs. Also, being able to look in the mirror and see an actual shape/figure. I'll even throw in the fact that I can wear leggings and not look ratchet!

I'm generally 1-3 pounds a month. When I started, I was at 5-6 pounds a month. I've been logging for almost two years and have in total lost over 80 pounds. I am noticing now more than before the inches are really coming off as this point, which I will gladly take over the pound some days of the week!

I totally agree with this quoted statement! Take it one day at a time and remember that nothing happens over night. Set mini goals for yourself so that youa re able to work towards a larger goal. I know I started with just logging my food intake and then started working out slowly. Its been a process and i have had to…

I am currently going through the same thing. My friends and I started our journies together, and since we were all different sizes to begin with, we started a clothes circle. This is how it works: as clothing gets too big, we put it aside and once a month or so, we come together and exchange clothing. This also helps to…

Yoga and I have a deep love relationship! I recently fell in love with Power Yoga and feel the need to practice like twice a week. I like power because it moves faster and builds more strength. When I really need to mellow out, I do yin yoga. The key with yoga is to find an instructor who offers plenty of modifications and…

I am in. Here it goes: 1. Be physically active at least 4 days a week for 30 minutes 2. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily 3. Log work outs and food intake daily 4. Ready my devotional and meditate on it daily 5. Plan all my meals and snacks so I don't dip into the candy jar at work 6. Encourage at least one person…

i use one pack of reduced sugar made with water and add some peanut butter and yogurt. Not only am I full, but am held over until lunchtime. Sometimes I will add mashed up bananas or apples as well.

I go through the same fits. I just don't get hungry sometimes or completely forget to eat and only have eaten 800 calories for the day. To combat this, I usually drink a smoothie with peanut butter in it. That way, I get some calories and nutrients in. Good Luck!!!

I am 27 and divorced and feel pressured all the time to remarry and have a baby. I would love to be a mom but its not on the horizon right now. I have recently lost weight and am enjoying this body and getting my life back on track after getting divorced and going through hardships. I want to have a baby, believe me, but I…

I love frozen bananas, low cal vanilla yogurt, coco powder and peanut butter. Its a great substitute! However, nothing like cookies and cream ice cream from time to time!

Greek Pasta with onions, peppers, tomatoes and feta and a side of baked broccoli. I'm up in the air if I want to add chicken or not.

I understand how you feel. Congrats on 91 pounds, I hope to get there soon! For me, I have noticed its more difficult to lose when I am not on a consistent schedule and stressed and streched thin. I stay within my calories, but don't eat the right things. All I can say is hang in there and keep going. You got this!

I go through moments where I have to motivate myself to get in that gym! And there are other moments when I get excited and can't wait to go. Normally when I have to give myself the extra pep talk, I try a different gym or different activity because I am probably tired of seeing the same people and doing the same things.…

Welcome! I have been using the site for a year now and like you tried a million different ways to lose weight. This has been the only successful way! I wish you all the luck in the world. Add me and we can motivate each other

I pack things like popcorn, hummus, and my all time favorite is a pouch of tuna and some crackers. I too often have to stay late at work so a bag of steam fresh vegetables and a boca patty work wonders as well. Hope this helps!

You look fine. I work with children, so I am used to having my age skewed daily. I have been told that I look 38... No worries my friend, just live your life!
-
Congrats! Keep going forward. I too was in the same spot as you a year ago and today can smile and laugh because I have lost over 50 pounds with MFP and a total of 65. You are truly an inspiration!

I like to take a pouch of low sodium tuna ( one small pouch is actually one serving and like 60 calories!) some hummus, carrots, crackers, an apple and yogurt. It gets me through! Happy eating!

I am so sorry to hear that. I went through a similar situation in life. I had lost almost 100 pounds when I was in college, and by the time I graduated I only gained about 10 back. Once I was in the "real world" I gained about 20 more. I entered into an abusive marriage and my weigh skyrocketed to the heaviest I have ever…

I sure enough do allow a somewhat off day! You kind of have to. However, I have noticed that since I have been doing this for almost a year now, the off days are far and few between. Water makes a world of difference, and so does working out! Congrats on your 3 pounds! Good luck!
